I recently stayed at the Travelodge at Scotch Corner during a long road trip, and it was a really pleasant surprise. The location is perfect for breaking up a long journey – just off the A1 and close to services, with easy parking and access to fuel and food.||The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with everything you need for a good night’s rest. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you’d expect from a well-run Travelodge.||What really stood out to me, though, was the staff – especially Leah at reception. She was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and friendly from the moment I arrived. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed, offering great local tips and making check-in feel warm and personal. It’s always the people that make the difference, and Leah definitely made mine a five-star experience.||Would definitely stay again if I’m passing through – big thanks to Leah and the team!

Fabulous stay, super comfy beds! Staff were great considering we checked in so late at 2am! Michelle was a delight on the desk checking us in and Josh was just as delightful checking us out! would definitely stay again.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Lady on reception was welcoming and friendly. |Did find the room rather warm and curtains did not really keep the light out. Also rather noisy from the A1 (room was at the back) so sleep was not great, not helped by the pillows. I guess you get used to your own. |Plenty of parking and EV chargers. |Worst part was the services next door - lots of rubbish left around, tables heaped with rubbish and noisy but clearly not Travelodge issue. Eat elsewhere!

Stayed here for 1 night as travelling down south. It’s a very lovely travel lodge and very convenient as it’s just off the main A1 or A68 depending on what way you are travelling. Would definitely use again and highly recommend the staff there were very friendly.

We had traveled from Ireland starting in the morning the ferry was delayed which put our plans back. On arrival at the travel Lodge we were ready for a rest and a meal the receptionist was most helpful and gave us instruction on the layout of the area. We had taken our dog (Angel) with us we thought this may have caused some concern but the receptionist was very kind and showed me outside were I could walk her nothing was to much trouble. Our stay at Scotch Corner was most memorable when in the morning we opened our curtains and stood as calm as anything was a beautiful deer. Many thanks Jen||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Arrived around 9pm at night with my teenage son, Sarah the receptionist, asked what name the room was booked under and without checking her computer, almost triumphantly announced there was no room booked under that name.|I showed her my confirmation WhatsApp message from Travel Lodge, whilst looking for my glasses to find the email.|Again she seemed pleased to inform me that ‘there’s no booking number on that text!’|I eventually found the email confirmation and she reluctantly admitted, ‘it hasn’t come through on my system!’.|Was then checked into a room (103) which had a reoccurring noise coming from the riser cupboard in the corridor, I went to speak with Sarah who was aware of it and explained it was to do with a hot water in the neighbouring room of 101!|TBF she moved us immediately to another room across the corridor but it begs the question as to why put us there in the first place?|The actual hotel itself was clean, bed was comfy & shower pressure was just about acceptable and compliant with the brand standard.|All in all, a slightly disappointing experience.

Travelodge are a standard, basic operation.
The room was as expected and as clean as one would want.
Our room was directly on to the main thoroughfare and car park but was surprisingly quiet.
The only slight complaint is that the reception area had a slight off odour which I attributed to dog but I know pets are not accepted. Obviously, personal hygiene of the residents cannot be policed.

Very helpful staff. Spent a very comfortable, restful night.
Also, plenty of food outlets such as BK, KFC and Greg's - I think some open all night.
