Two seniors, daughter and son-in-law and grandson in a three bed cottage. Lots of room, plenty of equipment. Comfortable beds and living room. Very quiet but not cut off, Stamford Bridge only a few minutes drive. Beautiful countryside on the doorstep. Everything you could ever need.

Lovely accommodation, absolutely everything provided and all on one level with disabled wheelchair access via a short ramp to the front door. We stopped in the courtyard cottage, 3 bedroomed with 2 ensuite and one separate bathroom all completed about 2006 I think. Decor in all rooms excellent and spotless with TV in all rooms , wifi and information and booklets to cover all things like walking , places to see and menus for nearby establishments. A really enjoyable break here and a good base to explore the area. On a note of caution the A166 is temporarily closed at Stamford Bridge for bridge works so be prepared for diversions in getting around and use your sat nav for best results to avoid queues on some roads until reopened. Nearly forgot the rear garden areas here with patio area and ample outside seating at the rear of the property.

I had the extraordinary privilege of staying in this wonderful bed and breakfast for a number of nights recently. Situated on a narrow country lane in rural Yorkshire near historic Stamford Bridge and beautiful little villages like Low Catton, this is a dream place for relaxation and recharge as well as the perfect base for exploring. York, Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington, Newcastle, Durham, Leeds, Doncaster, Sheffield and Hull are all within easy reach by car or public transport. The accommodation is so comfortable with everything you need, including nice little extras. The gardens are amazing and so peaceful. The breakfast was the best I've ever had in a bed and breakfast and the best I had in the UK on my wonderful 3 month adventure. I miss them immensely!|The individual cottages are amazing. |Sheila and Tom are, without doubt, the two best hosts I've ever come across in my many years of bed and breakfast stays, in fact they are two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. The attention to detail is impeccable, but their hospitality is definitely worth travelling to the other side of the World for!

Location is perfect, very friendly and warm owners. The Cottage is cosy and has everything you need.

We have been staying in the Courtyard for Christmas, several years, and we always love coming here, to entertain family and friends.

With the Balloon tree and the Gold Cup Inn nearby, York within driving distance, i highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic little cottage! Ruxpin had everything we needed and more! Compact but enough room to chill out after exploring. Loved the welcome gift of Yorkshire tea, wine and chocolates! |Sheila’s private gardens are worth a look too so beautiful and well maintained.

Our first visit to Yorkshire. Although we have visited the UK many times before this was our very first stay in a cottage. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed as a young family. The cottage is very cosy, big outdoor patio for a small dog. View is amazing, come sun or rain, it is never boring. ||||The location is very central for visitting the many attractions, from Hull til Robin Hood bay or a short day trip to York.

This lovely working farm has three holiday cottages (one sleeping six) as well as offering bed and breakfast in the farmhouse itself. I stayed for four nights and can confirm that its gold award and five stars are well deserved. My en suite room was beautiful and overlooked the delightful garden. It was equipped with everything I could possibly want, even down to a rubric cube to keep me occupied! My hostess provided amazing award-winning breakfasts (eggs from the hens in the garden). Supper was available at nearby pubs and restaurants including a very good Indian restaurant in Stamford Bridge, just five minutes by car. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough and can't wait to return for more peace and quiet and Mrs Foster's breakfasts!

My wife and I stayed here in Ruxpin Cottage for two nights as I was helping my new daughter-in-law redecorate her house in Stamford Bridge, ready to be sold. Sheila kindly took pity on us as there was simply no other accommodation to be had locally even though she was not officially re-opening, after her own redecoration, until March.||||The cottage is delightful and has everything needed to make a stay comfortable and enjoyable and I would have no hesitation in booking it again or in recommending it to any couple who want a base from which to explore the area. ||||So much nicer than one of the emotionless, chain hotels that appear to be blighting the country everywhere.
