Yesterday I had an excellent day here fishing. It was peaceful -
a delight to sit by the natural lake in a secluded swim watching the wildlife and to make it even better I caught fish! I only fished the margins and caught 4 bream to 2.5lbs and 4 roach to 1.7lbs. Then I switched to luncheon meat and caught 4 carp to 12.3lbs and 2 small perch. The owners were very friendly and helpful and I thank them for making my day so memorable.

Just returned from 3 wonderful days at this campsite and thoroughly enjoyed it. Fishing was excellent and the site was immaculately maintained. Toilet block and showers were spotless as was the site as a whole. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break and some great fishing.

A beautiful small caravan site for fishing or just relaxing. 20 min from Castle Howard. A bus ride to York city. Go once and you'll definitely want to go back.

Just got back from a 3 night stay over and fished 3 days with my father. The area is immaculate and the owners Geoff and Barbara were amazing and so accommodating. Fishing was great and caught some of the best roach and tench I've ever seen. Carp we caught were between the 6lb and 9lb. I recommend the pond for day fishing so anyone thinking of a good days fishing should visit.

Great place to stay! 🏡🎣 Even if you're not a fisherman, it's still awesome. But if you fish, it's even better! Stayed here for the first time and absolutely loved the site all toilets and showers very clean the owners were very helpful and couldn't do enough for everyone. The fishing was great for my husband and he caught quite a few fish while there especially on his birthday when he caught a couple of decent sized carp. Already booked to go back shortly. It also has a lovely village close by with a shop post office and a pub very picturesque loved it well worth the trip which isn't far from home Di/Paul Harris

Just come home from westerly lakes we enjoyed 4 nights there in our caravan. It was so peaceful just what we needed the toilets were spotless , everything you needed was at hand Geoff and Barbara were brilliant. My husband spent most of the time fishing and also had his birthday there which was all good since he caught a couple of decent sized carp on his birthday 🎂 so he was very pleased. Just on our way back home after spending 3 nights at this lovely place we was right by the lake my hubby fished every day was so peaceful and very quiet every one on the site was do friendly . The owners are amazing very friendly . The village is 10 mins walk up the road and a pub Wenlock Arms do lovely food . 10 mins to york outlet and 20 mins drive I to york .toilets and showers are spotless . Hopefully will be back in October thanks for having us x
