Just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay. The hotel is perfectly located with only a 5-10 minute walk to most attractions. As a solo traveller it can be daunting staying at a hotel on your own but the staff were friendly and polite and really made my stay enjoyable. The breakfast was fab and definitely worth the money, the restaurant also overlooks Clifford Tower which is lovely to see while eating. I’ll certainly be staying again on my next visit to York.

Lovely hotel. Location is spot on. Staff nice and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choices.|Rooms are nice with plenty space. The bathrooms could do with refurbishment. Shower in the bath is a bit old fashioned, and the shower curtain is a definite no. Would be better with walk-in showers. |Drinks at the bar are a little steep, but overall, a good hotel. |Will definitely be back.

I solo visited during the heatwave in June 25. I had a King room with a view of Clifford's Tower. The room was clean and fresh on arrival and adorned with niceties such as complimentary chocolates and biscuits.|The reception and restaurant staff were very professional and really helpful. Will on reception recommended a local pub for good home made food, he got that right.|The breakfast was good quality and the choice was varied. |The only downside was that the Air-con in my room couldn't quite cope with the heat during the night.|In summary, I had an enjoyable weekend and would definitely stay at three Hilton York again

Staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. The location is perfect for walking to the centre. Public parking close by. Breakfast was lovely and fresh and a good choice for the day ahead.
We did hear some noise from the road below, I think it was morning deliveries, but this was after 7am. A great view of Clifford's Tower from the room. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. Christine at the bar is lovely and very knowledgeable too. Was nice to come back to a lovely hotel after a full day, very relaxing. Will definitely be back.

Friendly front of house, terrific buffet breakfast, great poached eggs, everything fresh throughout the breakfast service, always replenished, lots of choice with gluten free and dairy free choices. Super hot water for tea and herbal teas. Decent quality bacon and sausage, big field mushrooms.||A cut above most hotel Breakfast Buffets. All small touches making its quality stand out.||We travel a lot and have eat a lot of buffet breakfasts. We'd eat here again. No questions asked.

Stayed here for three nights to do the tourist thing in York. The hotel is well located, a very short walk from everything the city has to offer. Walking from the train station is also quite easy, about 20 minutes. The room was very clean and comfortable, and quiet. Plenty of space in the room, although the bathroom was a little cramped - but not a problem. Plenty of power outlets near the bed for charging, and the sockets had both usb-a and usb-c sockets on them, the first time I have seen this, a very handy feature. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, with views out over the castle across the street. The staff could not have been more helpful when I asked to change rooms - they were the best of any Hilton I have stayed in in the UK. Highly recommended.

I gave it three stars as it was a birthday treat /surprise from my wife. Great location, the room was okay but the bed was too low like sleeping on the floor. Staff were friendly and helpful on advice on getting around. The breakfast was okay not like the advert on the TV and gets rather busy to find somewhere to sit. It's the location that makes it popular.

I stayed for 4 nights for work. First night I had a bath, black sludgy bits came out of the tap and were in the corners around the bath. Clearly not been cleaned properly. Towels are super rough.
Bed is hard.
No air-conditioning so the room was boiling.
Found old sweets on the floor behind a chair so room hasn't been cleaned properly. I dread to think about the dirt I've not seen.
Room is a bit tired not exactly 4 star standard.
Wouldn't recommend, I won't be booking a hilton hotel again. Really disappointed
