An amazing campsite and Alpaca experience, the entire site is peaceful, full of wildlife and a pleasure to relax within. The owners were caring and helpful at arrival, and couldn't do more to help. We loved our time here and will be recommending it to others!

Just stayed three nights in The Botanist shepherds hut and it was heaven. Pure peace and quiet. The shepherds hut was very private and equipped to a very high standard, comfy bed, endless hot water for the shower, power pack to charge your devices but very easy to go off grid if you wanted to. Lovely wood fired hot tub. Visited the alpacas in the field next to us you basically have full access to the whole site. If it’s seclusion you want this is the place for you

Liked: Just the most beautiful stay. Great to have the picnic tables next to the pitches.
Beautiful site that is well kept but also wild enough for you to feel as close to nature as possible with plumbing!
The Alpacas are obviously stars of the show but Sophie and Simon were also very lovely!

The location and surroundings are stunning. The Shepherds Hut is luxury ….. so beautifully done with so many added touches. The hosts Sophia and Simon were wonderful and would help with anything you needed. The Alpacas wandered the grounds happily. We did the Alpaca experience with the hosts who shared their extensive knowledge of these beautiful creatures and it was obvious they were well loved. The hot tub was an excellent challenge and we watched the stars whilst enjoying a drink. I would fully recommend and will go back!

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights and had such a lovely time. |Sophie and Simon were very accommodating even when I messed up the booking, they sorted it straight away. The lodge had everything we needed and more, was clean and the hot tub was lovely. The outdoor environment was perfect but also a nearby drive to everything you needed. |Would definitely stay here again!

We attended the Darling Woods of May yesterday, 6.4.25, with our 9yr old granddaughter. This is an experience I would definitely recommend. The owners, Sophie and her husband were very knowledgeable and so friendly. They were helped by their son who was very experienced too. There was only our party booked on the trek, it was fab.
It was so chilling to be able to have the interaction with the alpacas. They are so cute and cuddly. It was lovely hearing the sounds of the birds while trekking around the small wood, which is uneven in places.
We enjoyed a lovely picnic sat at the tables provided. With the alpacas watching nearby.
There is accommodation on the site, to rent, for anyone who would like to spend quality time in natural surroundings.
There is a small shop which sells gifts and reminders of your visit.
The toilets are very clean and accessible. Car park for several cars.
I am so glad I found this amazing place. Thank you Sophie, Stella had a wonderful experience as did all of us.

Facilities just perfect and fit for purpose from the trolleys to take your belongings to your pitch to the toilet & shower unit.
Site & pitches well kept with your own bit of meadow land providing privacy between pitches - nice touch and of course the resident alpacas which are great to watch.

Great little spot. Amazing first camping experience for my 4 year old. The alpacas were a hit! Pitches are well spaced, entire site is well maintained and the staff were lovely helpful. Will definitely be back
