Great hotel conveniently situated for York and only 10 mins walk from station. Room was quiet and well appointed. Breakfast was plentiful and good choices. Recommend you go earlyish for breakfast as tables are a premium and it does get very busy the later you go. The choices are replenished regularly. Staff on Reception very attentive. Bar prices a little high, but it is a city after all.

A modern hotel that provides a very satisfying stay in a very clean environment. The beds are comfortable and allow a good sleep in what is a very quiet environment. The walk in shower facility is excellent although if you are an older or less mobile person an additional support rail would be helpful to allow you to step out of the shower unit. A design fault perhaps but does not detract from what is a good experience. The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful and contribute to the general good feel about the hotel stay. The breakfast facilities are excellent and a good range of food on offer and replenishment closely monitored so you don't have to go looking for your food choices. Overall a very good experience. The only personal "mark down" is that the bed height is much lower than I expected but it did not detract from what is a very comfortable sleep.

Booked on the recommendation of a friend and would book again! We were a couple with a teenager and this hotel was ideally situated from the station (we came by train). On arrival it was very clean with helpful staff. We ate in the bar on the first night and whilst they have a basic menu (curry, pizza, burger etc) the food was lovely (they even offered a gf bun with the burger). At breakfast, there was a good selection and again gf was offered - I opted for the Schar muesli. Back in the room, the shower was hot and powerful, a decent hairdryer and plenty plugs. Linen and towels clean and crisp and the beds were comfy. Love the toiletries range and was nice to see a separate conditioner and body lotion! An observation, not a criticism but an extra hook would have been handy for coats (or wet towels). Look forward to staying again.

This hotel was perfectly fine and it has a nice location close to the train station but 15-minutes walking from the Shambles. There's also easy access to the historic walls, if you're looking for a fun walk.

The common spaces were nice, and the front desk was kind enough to hold our bags. Breakfast was excellent--I was very impressed by the sheer amount of options.

Our room was spacious and mostly clean. While the beds were large and comfortable, the sheets on my bed were stained and had a few pieces of hair on the comforter and pillow cases. My companion's bed was perfectly clean, so it made me wonder if my sheets had been changed between guests.

Me and my parents stayed here for 3 days and two nights. The room was clean, the sofa bed was so comfy. Breakfast in the morning was my favorite part. I would definitely stay here next time I'm in York

Clean and functional hotel. The staff were friendly and happy to help especially when I managed to break the toilet flush. Fixed it really quickly, all with a smile.|The bed was comfortable and it was good to be able to cool the room sufficiently. |A good location - 5 min walk from the station and 10 mins over the river to the centre of York. |Breakfast had all the normal offerings that you’d expect, croissants are small and dry but it did the job - and the whole place was clean. |We would return.

The Hampton by Hilton in York is a modern style hotel that is close to the rail station. Hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel has a small bar and limited menu area that is nice to relax in after a day out. The hotel and cold breakfast is very good with all of the things you would expect. Staff is friendly. On the negative side the cost on the weekend skyrockets to over 200 pounds ($422 CAD) for a queen room. There is no mini fridge in the room and our room did not have any hand soap. The bathroom door is a bit tricky to close as well. The view from our room is a wooden fence as well are on the basement floor. If the hotel was priced more reasonable I would stay again but not for this price. It could be that all hotels in York do this price adjustment on the weekend.

This is a clean comfortable corporate hotel. Staff are helpful. The real let down was the included buffet breakfast. Poor quality food, poor healthy choice. Nothing to declare the lovely foods of York or the North of England. I suggest a look at European breakfast style buffets in particular the Nordic countries . Fresh fruit , different breads/ pastries, choice of cheeses, meats, and egg preparation, fresh food shots. Definitely lacking quality over quantity. Come on Hilton you can do so much better. Please note this hotel does not take cash.
