Our visit to the cafe was largely positive. We particularly enjoyed the delicious, thick-cut bacon and the lovely sausages. The atmosphere of the place was very pleasant. We appreciated the use of glass bottles, though we noted that several glasses appeared dirty and may need a post-dishwasher check. We also observed some struggles with toast preparation and a significant cross-contamination issue with a gluten-free brownie being packed alongside a scone in a takeaway box. With some focused staff training on allergy protocols and quality control for dishware, this could be an even better experience."

Food is outstanding. Always freshly prepared and the quality excellent. On my latest visit 6 of us were fed and all happy with the service and the food. Staff friendly and kind. The garden centre has lots to offer as well as seasonal treats for families. We visited the lakes and it was a lovely experience. My go to place for food I can trust is clean and enjoyable.

I was afraid the entrance fee was a little expensive, but omg, you get your monies worth and so much more.
Lots for the children to do, tractor ride was a big hit!
The foam part at the end saw all the children laughing and dancing.
Very clean and well looked after site.
Lots of clean toilets.
All staff are great, so friendly and polite 😀
Food is big expensive but portions are huge! 1 portion of fries would definitely feed 3!
We will definitely be back

We not only went to the garden centre but also spent the day at the Maze and play park. Great fun for the children (it was not busy when we were there). Ample free parking with several options for food and drink (I can personally recommend the ploughman's!) All in all, a great family day out!

Skylark is a great place for a huge choice of anything you need in your garden and more. I have used them several times for delivering soil and composts. I ordered the items on Wednesday and they were delivered free on Thursday. Great service. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

£17.60 for 2 teas and 2 pieces of cake seems steep to me. A disappointing collection of outdoor pots, many were chipped. Not many houseplants either. We've been coming here for years but feel that the garden selection is not as good and the cafe is what it's all about now.

Brilliant place to go. Plants are well cared for - not just left out until sold or dead like some places. Nice selection of things from greetings cards to hanging baskets.. The cafe doors a nice range of food - I opted for the gammon, egg and chips. One nice slice of proper gammon ( not reformed and wrapped in plastic stuff ) chips and two excellent fried eggs. I'm going to rave about the eggs, they were the best I've ever had. Still soft and 'dippy' yolks but no 'snot', you know what I mean, on the white. I ate everything except the little fat on the gammon.
Would I go again, yes. In fact I did on the same day as my first visit. I will be going again.

We visited again November 2023. This was for trip out, thanks to my daughter and son-in-law. I had a really good, appetising, tasty Sunday lunch.
Later I took a few photos of the 4 pygmy goats. Really brilliant.
Very good selection of all things garden related.
Some were too expensive for me, others good value.
Toilets very clean, with sanitiser available.
Only let down for me, and anyone who has walking/standing problems was the lack of any seating, except in the café. Home now and suffering from walking too far.
