The Yard is an absolute gem! The Oak Barista served me my coffee in less than 5 minutes
Despite the crowd ,impressive efficiency. The coffee was strong, rich, and delicious,a must-try for fellow coffee lovers.

Now, about the food: do NOT be fooled by the word "mini"on the menu! We ordered three plates of hash browns (£4.5 each), expecting tiny portions, but were shocked (in a good way) by how generous they were. The food was tasty, well-priced, and filling, great value overall.

The vibe here is fantastic, especially the outdoor area- it’s perfect for sunny summer days. Pro tip: If you want one of those cute huts/tents,book ahead as they’re popular for groups.

Highly recommended and will definitely be back! A 10/10 experience.

The Yard is becoming our favourite place to eat/drink in Ely! The food is always amazing, there is always lots of Vegan options available and the Gluten free options are second to none! The staff are absolutely lovely! I think this place is probably the most dog friendly in the area, even having blankets for your dog to use. We keep bringing friends and family to show them what a great place it is, whether you’re there for a coffee, beer, lunch or dinner, The Yard really does have it all!

Just to add to this review, a month on and The Yard have updated the food menu… it just KEEPS getting better!!! So many options! Vegan kebab has become my new favourite, with Mac and Cheese now topping my parters favourite! - will never stop bigging up this place!

Awesome place in Ely. Best coffee in town. I love the atmosphere as it reminds me of cool vibrant Nordic street food quarters. The food is good! Not sure about the review complaining about the burgers - we have tried many different burgers here, and all were great! Tasty and fresh, and they all come with fries too. I also love their pizzas - they are the best!
The place does not need any silly background music, please don't give in to those suggestions. Its current vibe is authentic and natural: families and friends just hanging out and talking - it's so lively and nice! There are far too many fake corporate-like places with soulless background music. Don't become one of them please. As an Ely resident, I love this place as it is now! Great location, great vibe, great food and fantastic coffee.

I booked for 13 people to celebrate the 1st Anniversary of my business, Fight Klub. I found Andi very helpful and responsive in catering for our dietary requirements which included vegan and gluten free and the booking process was stress free.

On the day, our table was clearly marked and the table where our food selection was to be set was also right next to us and easy to access. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food came out right on time. The vegan and gluten free options were kept separate from the other food options and everything was fresh.

I thought the buffet selection was excellent value, there lots of choice and lots of food and we were allowed to take our time over eating - at no point did we feel rushed. We were given cardboard boxes (big tick) to take the left overs away with us - so no wastage.

Despite The Yard being very busy with other customers, our group was well looked after and everyone enjoyed the afternoon.

I would have no hesitation in recommending The Yard for large (and small) group bookings and look forward to going back there again.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced, as were the drinks. All in all, great value and a fun place to go.

I have gone to the yard about 3 times a week for the last month or so, and every time it’s been an amazing experience. The servers and baristas are great, very fast and always lovely coffee. This is easily the best coffee spot in Ely, and the food is great too. The atmosphere though is the real reason I keep coming back, perfect for working or chatting and just generally a lovely place to be. Thank you Silver Oak!

Lovely food and helpful staff. Only oddity was coffee & tea sold in cup sizes marked in some obscure units - "fl oz". Presumably American? But could be UK? (they're different). Why not move with the times and use metric units?

Beautiful little hidden gem, however the food is to be desired. We ordered two chicken burgers which were tough as old boots and burnt, only reason we ate them because we were both starving as skipped breakfast. The loaded fries were disgusting, zero presentation and lacking flavour. The young lady who helped us was absolutely wonderful and very apologetic, she offered a free drink which we declined but did thank her.
Note to the manager, Quality of food needs to be checked and you can't be serving rubbish like this to your customers, especially £13.95 for a burnt burger , If you want a quiet lunch that's tasty, look elsewhere as it's also full of prams and screaming kids.

More than artisan coffee. This is an independent hub. Buy the best coffee in Ely and have a nose around the indoor independents market. There is a little cafe at the back too serving seasonal “street food”. I bet it’s a hidden gem.
