Lovely grounds and gardens. The house has a wonderful almost 'lived in' feel, like the owner just stepped out. The house isn't over large but you could imagine yourself living there (if only you had the money!)
Grounds are quite extensive and mostly open to the public.

Arrived at Anglesey Abbey and was greeted by the friendly staff with plenty of information about the best locations to walk first,
We arrived early, so the house wasn't open yet but had a lovely walk around the grounds, then stopped off for a drink, which was nice to sit in the courtyard and just relax before heading to the house where we were greeted by a member of staff offering information about the house and through out the house you have members of staff offering to help with any questions you may have, the house it self has plenty of paintings and decorative items.
Would definitely recommend it.
I visited on a Friday, which wasn't over busy

We had a lovely time at Anglesey, and even better is that we got in free under the national lottery open days. We headed anti-clockwise round the site, seeing the mill and then off to the house, the playground and then den building before heading out. I think we were there for about 4 ish hours.

Kids enjoyed climbing trees, playing on the playground, and I joined them up on the tree house for a bit as well! Lots of fun had trying to build a den out of branches! We also got to see all the daffodils and walk through the grounds - which although early in the season, was still quite nice. We thought the house would be a quick look and wouldn't be fairly small, but it was much bigger than expected and lots to see!

In terms of facilities there were toilets, cafe etc. at the main entrance as well as some options near the house. There was also a food stall over at the playground as well as a mac n cheese place in the gardens.

It was a lovely day out and we really enjoyed it!

(Have added lots of photos, many of which my son took for me - and yes, he took a photo of the toilet...!)

Awesome place to visit for family!

You have playgrounds, walks, old mills, plenty of trees and bushes.

We really enjoyed the walk to the mill. The weather was very hot, but we enjoying because of the trees and shade around. You can have your picnic and play on the ground.

There was so much to see and do at Anglesey Abbey that we couldn’t manage it all in one day because we were enjoying taking our time over the rich and magnificent grounds and rooms, packed full of intriguing exhibits and wonders.
Neither did we become exhausted because there were plenty of benches and areas of grass to sit and admire the view from. The café was perfectly adequate with soups, baked potatoes and many other options with pleasant seating areas both in and out.
