Oh Lilian, what an evening Hannah and yourself created for Jane’s birthday! She is still reeling from the surprise, and the whole family thank you for an absolutely fabulous experience. The cocktails, masterclass, more cocktails, stories and amazing food made it a remarkable and memorable experience. How I will ever top that I do not know. It was a pleasure meeting you both and sharing in our special evening. We were looking for something very different to celebrate an 80th birthday. Having seen Lilian’s column in the Bury Free Press and after checking out the webpage, we knew we’d found what we were looking for.
Communication with Lillian was great, it made the organisation of the special event really easy. We were able to choose from an extensive menu which suited everyone attending.
Being a surprise dinner party for the birthday girl, she was totally amazed and thrilled. From the Singapore Sling cocktails to the last bite of the sublime apple fritters, and everything in between the meal was a huge success, all down to the culinary expertise of Lilian and her very capable assistant Hannah.
We would definitely recommend Lillian’s Kitchen to anyone looking for that extra special experience for any type of event but especially for a celebration.
Thank you to Lilian and Hannah for making Gwen’s birthday a super day to remember for all the family.

Lilian is warm and welcoming and makes the class fun with her humour.
The class is relaxed, easy to follow, interactive and very informative. She gives you great tips and the food is very tasty. A fabulous thing to do alone or with someone. I would highly recommend.

Lilian ran a Chinese cooking lesson/session for us. It was a fantastic day and Lilian made it so special. She knew we were going to immerse ourselves in the traditional culture and enhanced the day fantastically by decorating her whole kitchen as well.
It isn’t just the cookery skills that you learn but all the little extras that make an event like this so amazing: the stories behind traditions; the little touches of giving us a unique experience ( including subjecting us to the smelliest fruit on the planet!!!😂); making sure my allergy to garlic was catered for (again a challenge requiring her to adapt recipes) and of course helping us to produce a superb delicious meal. Thank you sooo much Lilian. You went above and beyond to give us a life memory.
PS I am practising some of the skills you taught us at home but must confess decorative tomatoes may be not on that list 😂😂😂 Xxx

A Fabulous 60th Birthday Dinner for Jackie

Lilian and I began the planning for this surprise private dinner for my wife Jackie’s 60th at our Tree House in Center Parcs Elveden some six months in advance.

Lilian provided helpful menu choices and listened to any specific personal requests with interest. She also provided suggestions on how to dress the table and drinks pairing - mind you her Singapore Slings were a ‘tour de force’

Lilian and her team showed resilience in extracting themselves from the clutches of the over-zealous Center Parcs security detail at the main gate and duly arrived in good time for dinner preparation.

Well the food was magnificent and consumed with abject pleasure by all, the vegetarian choices were exceptional as were all the dishes and Lilian’s explanations and back stories complemented the food perfectly - what a great team, very hardworking and so keen to ensure we all had a great time - which we did.

Thank you Lilian for providing a magical 60th birthday memory for Jackie, for me and all of our family and friends. 10/10

Lilian was fantastic - we ordered a 17th birthday cake. We submitted a request through the website and received a call back within the hour. Lilian asked about interest areas, personality - and tailored a cake that was both delicious and strikingly aesthetic - hand delivered to schedule. A total wow. Lilian’s Kitchen Cookbook covering 10 Asian countries is a delight in so many ways.
In the kitchen or on the patio this book and its recipes are inspirational and uncomplicated to follow.
Ingredients can easily be bought in high street stores and on line
My favourite recipe is for the Vietnamese spring rolls, so tasty and filled to suit all dietary needs.
Lilian’s tips throughout the pages are invaluable
The photography I love and is amazing which makes the book a fabulous lounge table top read.
So…. Keep On Cooking and Enjoy Asian Feasts.

Hen Party Masterclass Extraordinaire for my daughter, 6 friends and myself. Amazing afternoon with Lilian in her home, we learnt , cooked, ate and laughed so much. So well organised to the smallest detail, a Hen experience to remember with great excitement and so proud of our new skills.

Wow wow wow, what an absolutely wonderful evening we had with Lillian and her team. A celebration for our friend Valda's 60th birthday.
