If I knew the room was actually in the car park, I would not have booked it. Room inside was OK though, bit noisy with bin sounds and loutish people outside the door. Wouldn't stay more than 1 night here.

Breakfast was mostly fine, nice pastries, just avoid the pancakes - reheated and chewy.

Perfect stay for a visit to Ely. Near cathedral. Lovely staff great aervice and good food. Hottest weekend of the year and our room was rather warm we had a fan but not too effective and no fridge my only complaint but who knew it would be so hot 🥵

Ideally situated for all Ely attractions. Had a wonderful night's sleep. Restaurant food was a bit generic, but very reasonable, wines were even more so! Staff very helpful, friendly and amenable.

For a relatively budget hotel I was so surprised. The food was delicious (katsu curry recommended). The room was basic but very clean. Fabulous staff from the manager to the bar staff waiting staff . Everyone friendly and attentive. Can't fault it. I was there to perform in a concert at the cathedral. Could not be more convenient to everything in the city/high street. Shame I couldn't stay longer. Very happy to recommend

The team at the Lamb went above and beyond: we had booked a dog-free room due to allergies and were shown to a room that had been deep cleaned by housekeeping to make extra sure that it would be as allergen free as possible. However, that room was on the ground floor,  and upon request we were able to switch to a first-floor room, the last free room available that night. It was just as clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. Many thanks to the Lamb team for being so flexible and accommodating.

Good value Inn in the heart of Ely, 3 minutes from Cathedral and about 15 minutes from riverside. Staff at check-in very accommodating. Double and then single rooms available and good choice of cooked to order breakfast options alongside cold buffet. Limited parking so that maybe an issue if you can't get a space. Free car parks are nearby but with limited time periods.

I’ve just had a fantastic experience.
Sam, the general manager, was absolutely brilliant—attentive, professional, and welcoming. All the staff were incredibly happy and friendly, creating a great atmosphere. The service was brilliant from check in to check out! Will 100% be staying again when I visit Ely!

Stayed here as a couple in Mar-2025 for a couple of nights to explore the city

====PROS====

Very central location

Friendly and helpful staff

Our room was very large

Generous breakfast portions

Evening food in restaurant was good

Nice lunch and dinner places around

Free on-site parking if you are lucky enough to find a space

====CONS====

Shower was cooler than ideal, even on max temperature

Room ran a little cool - the radiators were often cool to the touch but it was really cold out, but there was a portable fan heater in the kitchen and that really helped

Few surfaces in the room to put stuff on

Car park really tight and difficult to navigate: there were a couple of big vans in there when we were to leave an a few cars parked where they shouldn't be
