Had a lovely comfortable stay in a studio suite with living area and kitchenette. Great central location. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. I asked if a fan was available, and they went out and bought a brand new one for me and delivered it to the room. Wonderful service, thank you! ❤️

Fantastic stay at the Hazeldene,

Was welcomed by the owner and showed to my room. Rooms were newly refurbished, spacy and comfortable and most importantly clean.

Kitchenette and facilities were also more than adequate.

Fantastic location and great value for money. I would highly recommend.

Lovely B&B. Room very clean, the bed is very comfortable and The small kitchen area in the room is excellent and includes all you need for a simple breakfast, with fresh bread, choice of cereals, butter, jam, marmalade, tea and coffee. The welcome from Chris is very friendly and welcoming as was the lady who I spoke to on the telephone to advise of our arrival time.

Booked a night in the family studio to share with my friend. Unfortunately there was a mix up with the booking and we were initially given a double room to share instead. Donna was incredibly apologetic and offered us a room each instead for no extra cost.
Many thanks for resolving this and in addition the rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.

I only review if it’s really good or really bad…this place is an absolute gem. I panicked a little on arrival because we had a first floor suite, not ground floor as I expected (I’m on a crutch) but the stairs aren’t steep and there’s only a few before you reach a handy rest stop 🤣 Booked a suite online quite late in the day (because i couldn’t decide on a place) and have been really impressed. Well equipped with everything and then some, clean and extremely comfortable. Some really lovely and thoughtful touches going on here that makes it extra special. We’ve only seen one member of staff but he’s absolutely lovely and so, so helpful. We haven’t had chance to enjoy the cooked breakfast this time (there is cereal, milk and bread in our suite but…a full English…got to be done) but we’ll be back up here again soon. Can’t wait!! Thank you so much!

I took the quest house because of its proximity to my meeting. A good choice. The rooms are spotless and ours on the first floor was spacious and included a small kitchen and shower room. If we are in Selby again we will certainly stay here.

Great room, well furnished.
A nice welcome
Room by the front door, so quietness is dependent on your 'neighbours'
Close to local shops and restaurants and only 20 minutes from York shopping outlet.
A very good room rate compared to hotels in York

We have just returned for our one night stay at Hazeldene Guest House. We were visiting family in the area, so just needed a place to stay near by. It was fantastic value for money, the guest house is exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, the rooms were very nice and comfortable, with everything provided. The staff were very friendly and the honesty bar was a lovely touch, we made good use of it, leaving cash in the bowl for what we had, the lounge was very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and with lots of choice. We would definitely stay here again, the next time we visit our family.
