The food was very enjoyable, the drinks were lovely and cold and the service to our table was really good. Despite being very busy at the bar, we were served in a reasonable amount of time and the friendly staff were efficient in taking our order and preparing our drinks. The location is handy as it's on the main street but it is a shame that it's so close to the shopping centre (they can't help where it's based). A surprisingly good experience 🙂 (we didn't stay in the hotel, that's why I haven't given it any stars, we only dined in the restaurant).

We stayed for two nights 26th and 27th of June 2025 for the horse racing.
It was so lovely and clean would definitely go back again.
Only downside is there are not enough staff at the bar but that's not staffs fault .
All staff were helpful and friendly.
Our rooms were cleaned and water tea coffee replaced.
Excellent value

Lovely spoons! It's been done up since we last came here and is much better and brighter! Not as dingy as it was before! One of the best spoons we've been to! Food was nice too, friendly locals, lots of good drinks choices, toilets very clean. Might even stay here next time

We had a fantastic overnight stay at The Troll Cart in Great Yarmouth. Check-in was simple — just announce your arrival at the bar, and a friendly member of staff will meet you at the reception desk to sign you in. We booked two family rooms and were blown away by how spacious and spotlessly clean they were. Honestly, it felt like we were the very first guests to stay in them!||||The rooms were immaculate, with crisp, clean linen and fresh, fluffy towels. The bathrooms were spotless and beautifully designed, each featuring a bath with an overhead shower as well as a separate shower cubicle with a luxurious rainwater shower head — a real touch of luxury.||||The soundproofing is excellent, with windows that completely blocked out any outdoor noise. The thick, luxurious curtains added to the comfort, and the air conditioning was a welcome bonus.||||We had dinner in the pub downstairs — despite it being very busy, our food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. The hotel itself is quiet, extremely comfortable, and you couldn’t ask for a better location right in the heart of town.||||Parking was hassle-free — we used the multi-storey car park next door, which is secure overnight. Checkout was just as easy as check-in, with a convenient key card drop box at reception. Breakfast the next morning was fab and set us up nicely for the day.||||We genuinely couldn’t fault a thing and will definitely be back!

We've visited The Troll Cart before. Whilst on holiday at Great Yarmouth, we decided to grab a breakfast at the Wetherspoons. It's a lovely building, with friendly staff. The easiness of placing orders is convenient, I wish the Wetherspoons app in general allowed breakfast changes though. We usually visit Wetherspon locations for a breakfast because they are decent, of an affordable price. We would likely return at a later date. The only minor issue was the table wasn't as clean, but it's understandably a busy establishment.

Went to this 'spoons' on a couple of occasions during our week in Yarmouth. Usual set-up with great food & great prices.||Always a fan of curry, so eyes lit up when I saw it was curry night (well day actually). Couldn't help but wonder if the Naga Chilli Chicken Vindaloo from a Wetherspoons would actually be "curry house" hot, or just a bit of a half-hearted attempt.||Answer? Sweet child of mine it's hot! 🤣 So, if you've got one of those mates / family member who always give it the big licks about 'eating phal for breakfast', don't forget to encourage them to have this! If you're that person, you won't be disappointed.||Handy hint: put your toilet roll in the freezer prior to going out 🤣

It's OK, the food was OK. The service was a bit poor. Forget our cutlery. we had to ask , we ordered drinks on the app and had to go bar after 20 minutes, and they were on the bar. Food came before the drinks! Should re name the place the tool cart because place was full of em! Wouldn't go back.

Great selection of drinks including real ales and exceptional value! Visited for drinks when on holiday nearby at one of the holiday parks. Service was friendly and fast. Would definitely return. There were 5 or 6 real ales available on hand pull, and on a Wednesday they were discounted to around £2 a pint. Bargain! Enjoyed the guest ales in particular.
