Me and my partner have just spent the past two nights at this wonderful BnB. Jane is the most approachable, attentive and knowledgeable host that we have come across. Nothing was too much of a problem. Richard made a delicious breakfast each morning for us, which was cooked to perfection. There was cereals, yoghurt, cooked breakfast which had lots of optional items and fresh juice. Jane served us our breakfast and used this opportunity to inform all the guest of any significant events happening near by on the day. ||The room we stayed in was beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was a a good amount of pillows and cushions which were off a very good quality. ||The hotel had lots of little touches, such as a wide variety of hot drinks to choose from, biscuits every day, fresh milk every day and little token sweets every day. Not only is the hotel and the hosts amazing, but they also offered to pick us up from the train station on arrival and drop us off at the train station on departure. Nothing seemed to be too much work for either of them. ||We has a fantastic stay and will be sure to visit them again, not only for the stay but for the company. ||Thank you Jane and Richard!

From the friendly greeting on arrival to leaving five days later everything was 5 star!! Jane showed us to our room on the top floor and it was so beautifully furnished with luxury bedding and a selection of soft, medium and firmer pillows. The bed was so so comfortable. Towels including facecloths were fluffy and pure white. Everything you would expect in a 5 star hotel was included such as slippers, dressing gowns, mini fridge with milk that was replenished daily, free toiletries, bottled water and a wide range of teas, coffees and hot chocolate and a pair of scissors was also included for opening the packets too! There was a comfortable 2 seater settee for relaxing and watching the tv. From our window we could see the sea which was approximately 3/4 minutes walk away. We went to a show at the Pier Theatre which was approx 7/8 minutes walk away so the location of the Merivon is absolutely perfect! Jane and Richard do first class breakfasts with a wide choice of food in a beautiful dining room. In between maintaining her beautiful guest house and looking after her residents Jane also tends to the gorgeous floral displays outside. If you are planning a visit to Great Yarmouth look no further than the Adult only MERIVON GUEST HOUSE - YOU DEFINITELY WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Myself and my partner stayed at The Merivon Guest House for 2 nights. We was welcomed by Jane and Richard who instantly made us feel welcomed into their home. Extremely COVID safe as they have accommodated to meet the requirements to keep their guests safe. The rooms are very clean, tidy and inviting. The cooked breakfast which we recommend is just superbly done. Even supply a pack lunch if you choose to. Obviously this is an extra. We both have loved our stay there and we will definitely be staying there again.

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Merivon Guest House and it is such a lovely place.||We had the small double room on the 2nd floor, but it had everything you could need despite it being the smallest of the five rooms available. The bed was amazingly comfortable with loads of plush cushions and pillows, and the en suite bathroom had the best shower that I've had in ages, along with free shower gels. We peeked into the other rooms as well and they were gorgeous too - all very tastefully decorated and each with their own individuality.||We had complimentary bathrobes, a mini fridge, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, DVD player, wi-fi, and complimentary sweets, water and a bottle of fresh milk popped in the fridge every day. ||Richard cooked a really delicious breakfast amiably served by Jane, and nothing was ever too much trouble for either of them. As well as the cooked breakfast you could have a choice of yogurt, fresh fruit, a choice of cereals and fruit juices, toast (either white or granary) with a selection of jams or marmalade. ||Jane always had time to chat and we also had our own front door key so it didn't matter what time you came back in the evening. ||The whole experience was homely, relaxing and very enjoyable, and we would highly recommend staying there. The only downside would be that it may not be suitable if you struggle with stairs, as they are the only access to the rooms.||Given the chance we will definitely go back again and we'll recommend it to anyone staying in Great Yarmouth. ||It's literally only a one minute walk from the seafront as well, so couldn't be more ideally placed.

Absolutely loved it here. It’s very local to the beach and city centre. The host/owner Jane is absolutely lovely and she would do anything to keep her customers happy. The room was massive and spotless. Not to mention the amazing breakfast, with a selection of fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurts and cereal, what is there not to like ? Not only that , you get a gorgeous full English as part of the breakfast to. Compliments to Richard, husband of Jane and amazing cook. Me and my partner have felt welcome from the get go , Jane offered to pick us up from the train station and take us back for no extra charge. That is real dedication and going the extra mile for her guests. Amazing place to stay and if I return to Yarmouth anytime soon, I will certainly be looking at staying here again. Absolutely amazing and this is how other BnBs should aspire to be. Couldn’t ask for anything better, really am impressed. Keep up the hard work Jane and Richard ! 😀😀

WOW What a great place to stay, so homely. Richard and Jane are such lovely people so welcoming, this guest house is more than a cut above the rest and second to none. They even played Happy Birthday (on August 19th) on the organ and surprised me with a cake and a card for my birthday. The room was perfect the bed and bathroom are such good quality as well as the breakfast options available too. Very high standards very very good job.

my wife and i had a couple of days away staying at the Merivon. Everything was excellent. Jane and Richard where great. Lovely hosts lovely breakfast and lovely room. Everything we could want was provided. No negative at all. Also great location just a few minutes walk from the seafront .We are hoping to return early next year.

Me and my wife have just come back from a Monday to Friday stay at The Merivon and had a fantastic stay. Jane and Richard really do look after you and nothing is too much trouble. I'm already missing the breakfasts which were top notch. The guest house is located a few minutes walk from the sea front, shops, restaurants. Next time we are back in Great Yarmouth we will definitely be staying at The Merivon again.
