Lovely rural location with plenty of parking, especially disabled if you have mobility issues.
There are lots of lockers available in the changing room for the spa, the receptionist are very friendly.
Towels and robes are provided. Our deal included afternoon tea which we thought was excellent for the money. The dining area has been refurbished and looks lovely.
We love this spa as it is not too big so you can always get in the steam rooms, sauna and jacuzzi. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Lovely hotel, nice room and very spacious. |Staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is very nice.|The decor and surroundings are lovely in reception area and restaurant. We stayed as a family of four for dinner bed and breakfast. |The negatives are garden furniture is literally falling apart and very unsteady to sit on outside chairs. We had to change two chairs as when we sat on them they were rocking and swaying like they were going to collapse. |The outside areas need addressing and furniture replaced. The carpet ln the hallway leading to rooms is very bumpy as not fitted properly which might cause someone to trip.|There are some parts such as outside|Seating areas that are tired and need updating other than that it’s a lovely place and could be so much better. |The. We stayed here after a wedding at another location. We checked in around midday understandably they couldn’t give us a key and go to the room yet however, they advised they would be able to keep our bags and they would pop them in the room for our arrival gone midnight. After we received the key no bags were in the room when we went to ask where our bags were they applied we lied that bags would have been dropped in the room as they do not offer this service! It was just a rude situation an apology is all that was needed but the service we received just felt rude. This happened to several couples that were staying the night from the wedding. ||Room was ok we got a recently renovated room no aircon just a window and a fan. Rest of the hotel is rundown in need of a renovation. ||We were told when booked (& again when we checked in) that we could use the spa facilities the day of check in and check out. As we were at the wedding of check in day we could not use the facilities. We checked out around 10am thinking we were doing the right thing by letting them start cleaning rooms. Straight after they let us check out we asked for directions to the spa which then the receptionist informed us we could no longer use the spa as we had checked out. Had we not checked out yet we could have only used the spa till 11am. This is different information to what was on the booking confirmation, information from the same receptionist day before and when you look it up on booking.com! When we complained we were told the rules are the rules but how are you supposed to know if they give you completely different information. The bridal party were looking forward to using the spa the day after the wedding and one of the reasons this hotel was booked! We would not recommend this hotel, staff were rude and conveniently no management were working to resolve the situation.

A lovely looking hotel on the outside from the front and a nice reception, however, the rest of the hotel is very outdated and run down. The gym is quite nice, a few of the equipments are old or not working but a big fan of the powerplate they have available. The changing rooms are in major need of some TLC, half the lockers don’t work and the showers seem to need a good deep clean. The pool area needs basic maintenance, peeling walls and signs falling apart. It would be nice if they had more spa features available to make it feel like an actual spa. The spa reception is always nice and clean and staff are friendly.
The hallways and bedrooms seem very outdated and really could do with a touch up. I have seen the carpeting in the hall way has recently been replaced which is a plus.
The cafe/restaurant was not up to standard in my opinion. I had a slice of cake which was so dry I could’ve soaked up the rain outside! When I mentioned this to the bar staff, not even an apology was given, she just said “Oh, I put it out this morning so I’m not sure why.” And kept this out for others to purchase from too!
It just really wasn’t worth it in my opinion, much nicer places you can go with more amenities around too.

If I could give a nil star rating, I would. Having arrived early after a very long journey we were denied check in unless we were willing to pay an extra £10 an hour, obviously I refused to pay an extra £30 so we waited utilising their outside seating area. We were astonished at the derelict nature of the furniture both tables and chairs were falling apart. A definite health and safety issue. The rear of the hotel is dilapidated and dirty. What you see in the photos is not what you see when you get there. On entry our room was a long way to walk upstairs and the key failed to operate so off I went back down the stairs again. This proved to be a refurbished room, however a window was broken and you couldn’t open the windows more than a few inches. There was a Swallow nest above the frame. The toilet seat was only half connected and the bathroom floor looked dirty. The bedroom lacked mirrors so you were unable to dry your hair or apply make up without standing up to look in the mirror. It was a good sized comfortable bed but unfortunately was on rollers on a LVT floor so moved every time you sat on the bed. There is no air con and the room was stifling hot. There was a small fan provided but extremely noisy. This hotel charges in advance of your stay. Unfortunately upon exit you find that you have already settled your bill for extras with no chance to check it. That’s very rude to take someone’s money without permission. We didn’t even get a copy of the invoice. The food was reasonable but the menu lacked choice. The restaurant and bar staff were friendly and polite which doesn’t apply to the reception and management staff who were extremely unhelpful. My advice is to never go near the place.

This is one of the most friendly hotels that I've ever stayed in. Everyone is genuinely lovely, making you feel as if you're the only one in the hotel. The breakfast lady even remembered my husband from a previous stay months ago. The team is an absolute credit to the hotel. Every single person! ||The hotel is beautiful and Sooo relaxing. The food is plentiful and really nice with lots of choice. The rooms are clean and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need included. Lots of extra little touches like the water, still and sparkling and in hotel bottles. ||The spa is also fantastic! I really didn't want to leave.||Thank you all most sincerely for a wonderful stay. We cannot wait to return.

Sadly this was not the experience we were hoping for. A large group of us stayed following my daughter’s wedding at a nearby location. Upon checking in after the wedding my 80 year old mother was allocated an upstairs room only to be told there were no lifts. There were a lot of stairs and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility needs at all. When we’re got to her room it was one of the unrefurbished ones. It was extremely drab and shabby and extremely disappointing. What was worse was that there was also a broken glass bottle in the room and water all over the vanity. She was then allocated another room. But this then involved a trek back to the ground floor which was a challenge without a lift. There’s also no air con in the rooms which were stifling. The following day we were all looking forward to spending a few hours in the spa. We had been told upon booking that we could use throughout this on the day of departure but were then told it wasn’t available after 11am when our rooms finished. There was no manager available and even though the receptionist called the manager and spoke to them, we were not allowed to. This was such a disappointment as we were a large group and had spent a lot of money with the hotel and the bridal couple had checked that we could use the spa several times in advance. We would not recommend this hotel and would not stay there again.

Stayed here for a spa weekend, various parts were being refurbished which it does need as a bit dated but everything was nice enough. Staff were friendly and the restaurant had a nice menu although was fairly empty. Bit of road noise as our room was at the front of the hotel. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order. Overall a nice stay.
