We stayed with John and Michael for a local wedding and had a fantastic weekend. From the moment we arrived, we could not have been better looked after. John and Michael are charming and wonderful hosts. They had thought of everything, and our stay was very comfortable indeed. The bedrooms and bathroom are beautifully appointed. The beds are very comfortable, and breakfasts delicious. All in all, a perfect stay.

We spent a wonderful couple of days here. The location was great for Bury St Edmunds and the rooms are very comfortable. The hosts Michael and John are generous and nothing was too much trouble. I’m sure we’ll be back.

We recently stayed at John and Michael's place for our wedding anniversary and it was the most special and memorable experience! The house is beautiful, the pool was out of this world! and our room was incredibly clean, comfortable spacious. The bed was super comfortable - probably among the best we've ever slept in.

John and Michael were fantastic hosts. They were attentive without being overwhelming, always ensuring we were comfortable and well-taken care of. Breakfast was a treat, featuring a mix of homemade and locally sourced items. We love the parfaits made with homemade granola! We felt totally spoilt and lucky to be able to spend a weekend at such a beautiful space.

We had such a wonderful time, we were sad to leave and will be sure to be back again. Thank you John and Michael, we really loved every minute of it!

We stayed here as we were working close by... what a fantastic little gem to find! I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a home away from home. John and michael are superb hosts who really make you feel welcome and relaxed. They always have time for a little natter at the start and end of your day, greeting you with a smile. The breakfast is all locally sourced and is a real treat in a morning with homemade jams to choose from all made by John. The rooms are kept immaculate by Michael, and the decor is beautiful. Such a peaceful place to stay. I really cannot recommend this delightful B&B enough! I will be certainly booking again while working in Bury.

Absolute perfection. We have had a totally amazing stay at The Rectory where John and Michael made us feel so welcome and surrounded by luxury. Everything was 100%+ perfect - beautiful decor, everywhere spotlessly clean, lovely soft towels/bed linen, the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in, brilliant shower, delicious homemade/local breakfast, peaceful location and lovely space both indoors and outside in which to relax. This is a very special B&B that we are so glad to have discovered. We can’t wait to return.

We absolutely LOVED every minute of our stay at The Rectory. Michael and John are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond in terms of service. They have thought of everything to create a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable stay: this is really a boutique hotel, rather than a B&B. To name a few of many highlights: stylish decor (we had the Deco Suite), sumptuous bed and bedding, delicious home made biscuits and locally sourced high quality breakfast including a vast array of home made jams and incredible service throughout.
