Really lovely hotel. Food really good, comfortable room and the bed. The staff are very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for you. I would recommend. Finn was lovely, keeping us entertained,a coach full of us,playing bingo one evening and, a quiz evening another evening.Very patient and funny.

Friends recommended The Priory Hotel as a good place to meet for a catch-up. Their Senior Lunch Club offers 3 courses on Wednesday for just £19.00 and the drinks were reasonably priced too! We sat in the garden for a pre-lunch drink and it was an oasis of calm, yet only a short distance from the Town Centre. John did a great job of taking care of all our food and drinks.

27 of us from the Leeds RSPB Group stayed for a long weekend at the Priory and I was the one who did all the booking and liaising with the hotel beforehand. During the booking process and checking various details, Melissa and Camilla were always so helpful in making sure we got what we wanted.|On arrival, the General Manager, Frank, was there with John and another member of staff with all keys ready and showed people to their rooms so check-in was unbelievable speedy and easy. |As requested, they had put us on 2 large tables at the side of the dining room overlooking the gardens. We had pre-booked our 3 courses earlier in the day and service was exceptional with all the meals coming out together and piping hot. The quality of the food was incredible and the quantity just right. All 3 courses on both days were just delicious as shown by all the plates going back almost licked clean!|Breakfast was buffet style but there was the option to order different eggs or extras from the kitchen and these came quickly. There was a huge range of items for both continental and cooked breakfasts so nobody went hungry.|Everybody said that their rooms were lovely and well-equipped with hairdrier and soap/shampoo.|We could not have had a better stay and, from an organiser's point of view, the staff were all wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for them. A huge thank you to everyone we met and all the staff in the background who we did not get to meet. You are a wonderful team. We will be back!

Arrived at the hotel in the evening with our child and pram and the staff were really accommodating to move our room downstairs (as there is no lift). Great start! The room looks lovely, really clean, spacious, and a smart TV. Winning!

It was only when we went to sleep the horror dawned on us, one of two things had to be true. Either; an entire zoo was brought to stay in the rooms around us and above us. Or, Best Western have figured out how to construct buildings with material thinner than paper!

The beds are significantly uncomfortable as well.

A shame really because everything else is really nice, but safe to say we did not sleep and are miserable in the morning!

Stayed 4 nights with coach tour, lovely stay and staff helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was the choice of mains at dinner, not very imaginative, and same vegetables every night. One couple actually ate at local pub one night because of choice, it was not a budget holiday by any means. A great pity because everything else first class.

We were looking for a wheelchair compliant hotel and arranged to inspect. No staff on reception, eventually got a builder working there to go get someone. Even though we had an appointment nobody was expecting us. We did have a look at their supposedly wheelchair accessible bedroom. It was very small and the gap was too narrow to allow wheelchair access to the ensuite. Neither reception nor the restaurant were genuinely wheelchair accessible. Needless to say, we moved on and didn't stay.
If we had been booked to stay there we would've been talking to our solicitor. They are a disgrace to the Best Western franchise.

Good value. Extremely pleasant helpful staff. Rooms , although not new, were well appointed and very clean. Quiet at night Copious hot water for shower etc.||Breakfast very good, good choice of cold and hot food. Plentiful.||Restaurant food was ordinary.
