It’s an old house in an old town so don’t expect the Hilton, but it’s very charming in a great location with wonderful views and a solid attempt to make things comfortable for guests. Lovely communal kitchen, dining room and lounge with loads of board games, plus a communal outside patio for the summer. Manager and owner work hard and are very responsive and professional.

My partner and I stayed here for one night with our 2 dogs - the room was clean with a modern ensuite which was perfect for our needs. I love the vibe of the house - you are trusted to look after it and respect the communal areas which are open to anyone staying there at all times of the day. Fully fitted out kitchen, lovely dining room and living room with board games and books, and the house is full of character.

The staff are excellent and communication is great. I left a ring in the ensuite and only realised once I got home. The staff went above and beyond to look for it, they found it in the shower drain and have posted it to me free of charge. I couldn't be more grateful!

Lovely place to stay and dog friendly which is a massive bonus. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is on a bit of a budget or away with their dogs.
