We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lunsford farm. The glamping tent/canvas lodge was absolutely brilliant. The farm is beautiful and the view from the field we were staying was gorgeous. It was so relaxing to make a cup of tea or our evening meal outside on the bbq with the beautiful view. The fact that there is cold water and a flushing toilet is an absolute god send when camping with kids ours are 4 and 5. They loved the rope swing and the see saw in the field. They also loved the cupboard bed in the tent- very cute. On the last day Andrew who owns the farm lit the pizza oven and cooked our pizzas for us and we then cooked our marshmallows in it which was brilliant. We went to the beach at Pett level and Hastings for day trips, and we explored the farm and looked at the animals, next time we will also walk down to the lake some of the other campers went there and said there was a lovely rope swing and lots of fish in the lake. There is also a little bit of forest to walk and play in next to the camping field. It was idyllic.

We had our first “post lockdown” holiday at Lunsford Farm for 4 nights in the Easter school holidays. What a lovely family experience. My kids (nearly 6 and nearly 8) could run around and explore the camp site and little forest to their hearts content! There are lots of great walks which you can do from the farm including along the beach to Winchelsea. Andrew was very accommodating despite it being lambing season and was happy to answer my random sheep questions. The girls loved seeing the new born lambs. Even though it was pretty cold we had plenty of bedding to keep warm at night. The shower block is very clean and has a hairdryer. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Lunsford and look forward to going back again in the future.

We have just got back from the most fabulous short break at Lunsford Farm. What can we say but it was absolutely brilliant and we totally loved it. The Lodge was great, well equipped, comfortable and very cosy with the candles and oil lamps glowing. Our children (17 months and 6 yrs) both had a great time and didn't want to come home - fishing, toasting marshmallows, picking mushrooms, walks down to the sea ....... The location is stunning too. Thank you to Andrew & Linda for their hospitality and to Dennis for the fishing lesson. Watch out, we'll be back!!!!

My husband and myself have just returned home refreshed after four wonderful days staying at Lunsford Farm. The spacious canvas lodge was very comfortable and well equipped, far exceeding our expectation of glamping. Our evenings were snug ||with the easy to use wood-fired stove and cosy with the candles and lamp light. The hosts Andrew, Linda and Jamie couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. From our lodge we had beautiful views of the sea and rolling countryside. The modern showers are warm and spotless with plenty of hot water and the honesty shop is well stocked making meal times so easy.||Our recommendations are – ||Watching the sun rise over the sea with your first morning cuppa.||Walking down to Pett Level beach over the Royal Military Canal, via the pill box.||Being a kid again on the rope swing down by the pond.||Try the Cheese Tea at the Tic Toc Tearoom in Pett village – delicious.||Had a good meal in The Royal Oak in Pett village.||Linda’s tasty homecooked meals from the honesty shop.||Book for longer, we wished we had.

We have visited Lunsford Farm 5 times since our children were young. Always had a great time and as a family that doesn’t do camping the glamping tents are great. Near the beach and local pub, farmer even gives a tour. He is always just a call away if you need him but otherwise let’s you get on with your holiday. The tents are right in the middle of the farm so sheep close by and lots of space to build dens and have campfires

I stayed here for a long weekend in May with a friend, her child & my two daughters. Children were under the age of 3 and perfectly safe to roam and play in the safari tent area. There were 4 safari tents at the bottom of the farm in a small paddock area with sea view over Pett surrounding fields of cows and sheep. |Each tent holds a single twin bunk, a double bed & a short double bed built into a cupboard. You have cold running water, sink & toilet. Heating and cooking is done on a log fired stove within the tent. Obviously no electricity so candles and lamps only! |It was comfortable and very accommodating. Large enough for us and all the toys/equipment the kids had. |Picnic benches, fire pit, pizza oven and deck chairs also. A rustic see-saw for kids. Free eggs from the farm in the afternoon if you go up and hunt for them. Kindling, fresh food, tins, bog roll etc at a cost at the farm shop/showers. Honesty box as it is a working farm, so you pay up on leaving. |We was welcomed by Andrew who at the time was roaming around doing his jobs in the tractor, very exciting for the kids to watch! |A tour of the farm was offered but but difficult with a buggy!|The shower & toilet rooms up the top of the farm was warm, very clean and lovely after a busy day. There's a butler sink, heated towel rail & hair dryer. ||They are keen to recycle however carting it up to the top of the farm with all the bedding at the end of the holiday with screaming kids and all our belongings wasn't as easy. Would be good if the sorting recycling bins were also down near the tents. |I wouldn't say that it's accommodating for disabled users as it's steps into the shower/ shop and tent. The rooms of the toilet, showers and tent are too tight for a wheelchair user. |Unfortunately no dogs which is a shame as we have a well behaved dog that we would have taken with us for the next time as part of a big holiday with family. ||You can do a 15-20min walk to pett beach or walk down to the local pub just be careful of the remote Un-pedestrian roads. ||Overall very nice, good for all ages and we would go back.|||
