Quite disappointed. My friend had been here before and recommended it but this time we were both underwhelmed.

I had the heritage tomato and mozzarella sandwich but there weren't enough tomatoes on it and the ratio of chewy sourdough to filling wasn't ideal.

The mozzarella wasn't seasoned, the few bits of tomato didn't really have much flavour and it was just a bit meh. I've made better myself. For £9 I expected much much more.

On top of that after ordering we waited 40 mins before we got our sandwiches. It wasn't even particularly busy.

recommend the pizzas - on par with rudy’s 😈 sandwich was underwhelming with ungenerous filling and had no sauce, which made it a tad too dry 😔 warm cozy interior but ventilation is poor so it can get noisy. overall good vibes, will be back to try more 😋

I live near here. I smelled the pizza or bread every time I passed by here so I come here today. It’s really nice! The atmosphere is very good, and I feel very happy sitting inside. Wait for the next sunny day to come back and sit🥰

We have came here twice, and neither visits could be any better. I would highly recommend pizza. Service was great with suggestions being made for toppings. Brownies are awesome too. Food came quickly and was amazing and the café is well decorated with books to read.

Claypath Deli is in Durham.
Great customer service by a young man who served me.
I got a freshly done wholemeal Sourdough bread, still warm to touch and croissant a a very nice Cappuccino costing £9.10
I think the only downside is parking, cost £1 to park; ( i live out of area) but saying this I'm all for local independent buissness.
Produce is so much better than a supermarket.

This is by far the best coffee shop and cafe in the entire city of Durham. The food is top notch quality (breads, pizzas, sandwiches, soups, so much more) and the coffee is the same as well. It is the perfect place to work on your computer, hang out with friends, or read a book. By far the best cafe I've been to in Durham.
