Nice location, good amount of parking. Shop and restaurant really close. Super helpful and friendly check-in with Shawn on reception. My room was great, there was even 2 desk fans to help me keep cool on one of the hottest days this year!
I'll definitely start again without hesitation. Highly recommend.

Great value for the price, clean room and enough space for 3 people (2 adults + 15 year old). Hot in the room, but fan provided (30 degree day so maybe can't be helped). If you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere but for this option at a great value, we're happy. Good parking and convenient Teso Express. Shawn on front desk especially helpful to make our stay as comfortable as possible, 3 star upped to 4 for his help.

Good location just next to the main road and a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Plenty of parking outside. Room was very spacious and the bed was lovely and comfortable. Had no issues sleeping and loved the view from the windows.

I recently stayed at Travelodge Dorking for a business trip, and I want to extend my sincere thanks to Shawn at reception for his outstanding hospitality. From the moment I arrived, Shawn was welcoming, professional, and made the check-in process smooth and efficient.

We frequently stay at Dorking Travelodge, and it is always clean and comfortable.|The staff are friendly, especially Sean, who is very helpful and approachable. |Travelodge do need to change some of the plug sockets though - they are unusable for most plugs!

Unfortunately I am writing a negative review of this place as I live for writing about the greatness of places. However, this place is truly awful. Stay away and complain early.

After a long day of hiking the presumed joy of a warm shower was cut short with some Icelandic temperatures sputtering out of a sad hose. This was the same in the morning and 24 hours later.

The bed looked like it could be used on a scene from Trainspotting (see photo). No mattress protection, just one sheet between you and the previous nights sweat (or worst) stains.

The corridors smelt like a 90’s boozer - wiffs of cigarettes, dirty sheets and BO (see there attempt to mask it).

The room was frowsty and had the window open again to cover the grim smells of the room. As a result, the room was freezing.

The receptionist/duty staff member was professionally useless with a bland welcome and then a dismissive response towards my issues of a cold shower for two days. She showed no remorse or an ounce of problem solving skills, she instead struggled and said there were no other rooms available. The morning staff admitted that room 21 has problems with its hot water and promised a new room however this never came to fruition.

The Tesco deliveries, as others have mentioned start bleeping, banging and crashing at 7:30am which is not a treat either.

Overall, the term β€˜you get what you pay for’ is not fitting of this death smelling, dross and dreary dormitory which I would not recommend for zombies, stag doos or tolerant humans alike. Stay away.

On my way to this travel lodge in Dorking, on the check in day, after 3pm they called me wanting to push me to another travellodge 20 mins further away because they said they were overbooked and they had a group of 5 and wanted to give my room to. How does that happen these days which I said no as I needed to be in Dorking and didn't want to go to another place that didn't even have parking. I arrived around 7:30 pm and checked in and went to my room (room 16) it smelled really strongly of paint and the heating was on full blast and it looked like they had been redecorating. I think this was the real reason they didn't want me to stay but gave some bs reason. I went to complain and the manager there lied and said the painting was done 2 weeks ago. What a joke. I left the room for a couple of hours and when I got back at 10 pm the smell was just as bad so I started checking where it was coming from. It didn't take long before I noticed wet paint on the door into the bathroom. And not just that there was dirt and dust around. Seems the decorations didn't tidy up afterwards and generally mould around the tiles. There also isn't enough sockets so can't easily plug my cpap and get am also staying with my 10yr old son. I can't keep the winters open as it's cold at night and the smell is giving me a headache. Not a great place to stay. And it's too late to find an alternative
