This was the perfect stay for me and my wife. We stayed in the hut on the lake which was a one bed hut set in such an idyllic setting with a beautiful cabin overlooking the water. The interior is so well done and every little things has been thought about. What we loved were:

- picturesque setting
- lots of walks on your doorstep
- outdoor BBQ
- comfy bed
- warm interior
- delicious welcome basket

I could go on and on. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful. You can take the name literally, they know what they’re doing. The area is really sweet and the locals are lovely. It’s nestled in prime walking region and the walks are beautiful. In terms of what you’ll get more than anything, a proper dream like escape! Chris and Tracey, thanks so much.

We absolutely love this place. We have stayed in Windmill and most recently The Cabin. It is beautiful, each cabin is carefully thought out with breathtaking views, an abundance of wildlife and cosy furnishings. You are greeted with a hamper with sausages, bacon, eggs, fresh milk, bread, wine and water and even treats for the dogs. The owners are great, always responsive on messenger and email. It’s super dog friendly which is very important to us. My husband loves fishing and he was not disappointed, he caught some good carp and even his first catfish. The rowing boat 🛶 is great for a mooch around the lakes. We are definitely returning next year and will be counting down! Book this place, for your next break, you will not want to leave!!

Just came back from a 2 night stay at the kingfisher wagon with my family. We absolutely loved it! All the small details were amazing from the welcome hamper, to the outdoor bath. We even saw two kingfishers on our lake. The fishing was great and all the wildlife we saw was amazing. The cabin was small yet so cozy and we used up nearly all the firewood for the amazing fire pit by the cabin. Would 100% recommend and will be coming back for another trip. Thank you so much!

Myself and my family stayed at the Windmill Cabin for 3 nights in June 2024, I wanted us to stay somewhere that had something for everyone, I like to fish, my kids like to run around and explore and my wife likes to relax and take in the views. This place had it all!||We loved the cabin, it felt very authentic, the outdoor area was perfect in the day and the indoors with log burner on was very cosy at night. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all the appliance's you'll need.||Over the 2 days we caught a variety of fish off the dock including Carp (common and a massive mirror), Bream, Perch, Roach and Rudd. It was fantastic.||The views are incredible and it's very quiet and private, we occasionally saw people from the other cabins/huts out for walks but that's it.||The owners also gave us an amazing hamper on arrival containing all the essentials plus meat and dairy from their farm which was very generous.||Overall, an amazing place which gave us an amazing experience we'll not forget, we would definitely come back again to try one of their other cabins, I can't recommend this place enough.

September 2024 Just returned from a 4 night stay in the cabin. WOW 🤩 what a beautiful place, a cabin, with your own fishing lake full of beautiful carp and catfish. The rowing boat is a great addition. It was so peaceful. The owners are great and make sure everything is perfect. If you are considering booking a stay here, book it, you will not be disappointed!

April 2024 Just returned from a long weekend in Windmill cabin.
What an absolutely beautiful place, attention to detail was out of this world and easily the best cabin we have ever stayed in. Quality appliances, wood burner, outside copper tub which was a lovely touch, comfortable beds, rowing boat, paddle board and a very generous garden which was fully enclosed for the dogs. Hamper on arrival filled with delicious produce and even treats for the dogs. My husband caught quite a few fish, common carp, mirror carp, bream. The biggest carp being 19lb. You can walk all round the fields with the dogs and chill out on the beautiful outside area. It is so quiet and really is a hidden gem. We cannot wait to come back!

Everything about our stay at this wonderful cabin was fabulous. Such a great place to unwind for a few days. We enjoyed just laying on the loungers watching the birds coming and going, blankets and hot water bottles are provided so we were able to stay warm outside in the evening. The inside of the cabin is great, 2 double beds (one up a ladder) a well equipped kitchen and the deepest bath I’ve ever been in. Thank you Tracey and Chris for the generous hamper (the sausages were especially tasty) and for letting us stay in your stunning cabin. It was great to meet you both as well as Holly, Ivy and Jasper. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding, the name says it all. |We stayed in the windmill cabin for Easter. We have stayed at various cabins and always been disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and comfort. |This place is everything you could possibly hope for and is better than the website.|The attention to detail is exceptional, small details all considered. |The setting is stunning, the lakes are beautiful as is the surrounding landscape. The cabin is fantastic. A great space so beautifully furnished and accessorised. The owners have spared no expense and it really shows. Someone has spent a long time thinking about the design and what to include.|The breakfast hamper was delicious and appreciated.|Super comfortable bedding.|The rowing boat was great fun.|I love that the owners have used cheap furnishings and have used products you would want in your own home. |We will be back!
