Ordered the full English breakfast and a fluffy pancakes with Maple pecan (Some of the best food I’ve had, please keep it up !) and hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Food was so delicious along with the nice interior and friendly staff. Highly recommended and would return again.

We had a lovely meal here with my friends. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Good selection of vegetarian dishes. Our servers Tiria and Freya were very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s also a dog friendly place which made the experience even better.

What an amazing Hideaway! The name is perfect! A retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Take your friends, family or escape there on your own. The ambience is relaxing, the FOOD is superbly prepared and presented beautifully, the efficient service is friendly and quick. The team work well together - cooks & servers. You will NOT be disappointed. I would like to go everyday but live too far away. Do you need to buy classy gifts? - this is the place too. A hidden gem of a place! Go Go Go without hesitation.

I joined my wife on a Sunday morning for brunch. We had a lovely time and ordered scrambled eggs on toast and coffee. All quite delicious. Service from Sarah was efficient and with a big smile. This is our second visit and it won’t be our last. Highly recommend.

Encouraged by the reviews on here we visited for a late breakfast and were not disappointed. The staff are really friendly and I was particularly impressed by the enthusiasm of the young guy who seems to be the creator of some splendid cakes and pastries. The food was lovely; it's rare to find any imagination applied to an English breakfast but there were some small but effective embellishments which made it stand out. My partner's cinnamon swirl was reported as being lovely too.
The premises are spotless. It was all so good that we returned later to buy some pastry treats for later.
We'll be back!

No vegan options so had avocado on I slice of sourdough toast with tomato. Went to pay and was charged £15.50. Unbelievable especially as the smashed avocado with egg and tomato from the menu was only £13.50. The full veggie English was less at £13. I questioned it only to be told the tomatoes cost an extra £2. What? Also charged 50p for soya milk. Absolutely shocked that vegans are charged more for cheaper ingredients. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I’ve visited again today with a friend and we were both blown away with the food and customer service we received. I liked how the menu had changed and it’s something different from a plan sandwich. The cheese swirl was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Freya was not only extremely knowledgeable of the menu snd friendly. I even brought some food to take away, pastries and a cheese swirl.
This is certainly the new jewel of Boroughbridge.

We have been frequenting the Hideaway over the past year, visiting mainly on Saturday lunchtimes with our dogs. It’s always been a very welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Recently the service has been very slow and it seems to have lost something. Today we realised that the management has changed. We sat for ages before anyone came to take our order, and only after I prompted at the till. The millionaires shortbread looked quite pathetic, a far cry from the fab cakes we usually expect. The loss of the manager seems to have taken a toll. We shall be trying elsewhere.
