I stayed a couple of nights while walking the nearby section of the N Cornwall coast path. It was like staying with old friends. The breakfast and supper were truly extraordinary for a B&B. The hosts were so kind and considerate even dropping me off at the start of my walk and offering to pick me up if needed. Thoroughly recommend it.

Very warm welcome from friendly hosts Julie&Richard! Lovely peaceful setting in a very clean comfortable room 👌 You have to eat in -the breakfast & dinner are absolutely excellent !!! Will definitely recommend & will stay again ♥️

A very nice overnight stay in a lovely peaceful home. Clean and nicely furnished, even dressing gowns provided for guest use. Our hosts were friendly, informative and welcoming and offered to make us a cup of tea on arrival as we were clearly shattered. Our only quibble is that the shower curtain rail in the lovely ensuite bathroom needs to be adjusted to skirt along the side of the oval bath. The curtain currently hangs well inside the bath area and we found it really hard to shower without it sticking to us.

Beautiful setting close to Budge. The hosts Richard and Julie are fabulous, cannot do enough for you. Julie is a wonderful cook and will take care of all your dietary needs. 2 very friendly cats roam around, Millie and George, George is a real chatterbox.
Will definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay. Julie was a fantastic host. The setting was very peaceful with a beautiful countryside view from our room. It didn't take long to drive to Bude.

No sign to say place is a B&B on the main road, just 'Stibb Down Farmhouse' - confusing because online its called 'Rural Farmhouse'. Trying to conceal their name, possibly after previous bad reviews?
SO HERE GOES THE ACCOUNT OF WHY WE'D GIVE THIS B&B A MINUS TEN REVIEW IF IT WERE POSSIBLE... AND HOW JULIE THE OWNER GETS BAD REVIEWS REMOVED
On arrival we stood with bags several minutes ringing the front door bell but could not get a response. Went round the side to see if anyone was about and found an irate Julie busy serving dinner in the kitchen. 'What are you doing here! Go round the other side'. I explained we'd been trying to get some attention. She didn't apologize for being so rude.
GREAT START SO:
EXAGGERATED RATING: Julie asks guests to lie about ratings 'We would rather give you your money back than get a negative review.' she says in the room blurb - well that to me is bribery. an abuse of the good faith review system, we're not playing ball thanks!

LIES AND GASLIGHTING: Julie lied, said I sent a rude text but I don't even have her number!
JULIE Refused feedback, VERY RUDE when we were 3/4 hr late leaving.

KETTLE: no socket, had to unplug light, move the kettle every time wanted to boil it.

It’s a really nice place but was nightmare to find while I had no signal on my phone. The host gently offered direction over the phone until we finally reached here. I have managed to add this place on google & hopefully someone else will find ease to get here.
