This pub is great, and sorry for not reviewing before as been coming to Bude for many years. Spent the week in Bude and visited a few times for lunch time drinks and also had two meals here. Staff very friendly, food was excellent I had a lovely fish and chips, burgers were nice, and my life really enjoyed her ploughman's. Prices are reasonable, we managed to eat outside in the great weather but the restaurant side looked a pleasant place, gents toilets very clean and looked newly renivated. If you are in Bude and fancy a drink and or food pay the Brendon Arms a visit.

Stayed here this last weekend in the old lifeboat house. Incredible room, great location and really great amenities within the room, cannot speak highly enough of it.
The pub itself inside was lovely and lively but ended at a reasonable time, which when you have small humans is nerve racking however it’s a non issue. The location of the pub and our room was so nice, the whole place gives you the message they’re proud to be Cornish and proud to be British it’s really cool.
Stay here you won’t regret it.

Have been here plenty of times, travel down from the WestMidlands. Must say on this particular visit that we asked for a table and a lovely Gentleman called Ralph made one available to us, topped up my gin with the last little bit in the bottle as it wouldnt have made another measure. Meg on the bar was also amazing, warm and friendly - very welcoming! All the staff there are very pleasant but Ralph and Meg both shined on this visit. I hope they both get to see this, thank you both for your friendliness and welcoming, was honestly wonderful to see this. The food was amazing too! Smelt like I wanted everything on the menu! Was a struggle to chose which to have on this occasion.

I cannot comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay overnight.

We were all set to go out for Tapas when we realised almost everywhere in Bude is closed for food on Sunday evenings 🤦‍♂️🤣.
We managed to get a table here due to the lovely woman running the food/restaurant squeezing us in.

I had the gammon which was very nice. Juicy meat with a high quality egg. Nice chips, plenty as a portion.

My wife had the lasagna which she said was okay but a bit mushy, she assumed from being frozen.

We parked on the road outside but there are various car parks an easy walk away. I noticed to the far left of the pub (as you look at it from the road) is an accessible path up to the pub for wheelchair users.

We are at Brendon Arms this evening after visiting Bude for the week. A lovely location by the canal and a pleasant atmosphere in and outside.
First of the welcome was somewhat blunt, as if the lady would rather be anywhere else. Surprising as the tag line on the menu states ‘The Warmest Welcome In The West.’
The male waiter was friendly and efficient, looking after us well. Unfortunately shadowed by another female server who would reach across us constantly and speak in a manner that I thought sounded almost sarcastic.
We had the focaccia for starter, it came quick, and although it didn’t look anything special the bread tasted fresh and it was very pleasant.
The mains came out a while after (but expected and we were pre warned due to business). A goats cheese salad arrived about 10 minutes before the rest, meaning it was cold before the rest of the food arrived, and not before being offered two meals we hadn’t ordered.
The curry was cold but this was quickly replaced with an extra popadom and the food was delicious!
Generally a lovely meal and a nice place, with fair prices, regrettably let down by some of the staff members
