What an amazing experience we had! Angie and Sue were incredible hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and even let us hang out with their goats before we left. I can’t recommend this place enough.
Their re-wilding project is something they should be so proud of and we can’t wait to come and visit again. Thank you so much!

Angie and Sue were incredible hosts and have done a fantastic job at rewilding their land. The campsite is peaceful with beautiful views and plenty of romantic spots dotted around the lake. The breakfast was well worth the money and gave us a great start to each day. As well as enjoying the wildlife, we got to meet the resident rescue farm animals. Bonnie and Clyde, the sheep, were absolutely adorable. We were even able to buy some fresh hen's eggs and homemade jam to take home. Angie gave us a great reccomendation for food to celebrate our second anniversary. The Molesworth Arms, which is a short drive away and run by another brilliant couple. Everything about our stay was far beyond our expectations and we will definitely be returning in the future!

A huge shout out to Angie & Sue who open up their beautiful re-wilding space in Devon to share the magic with others. It is testament to the beauty and peace of Brackenwood that allowed my brain to switch off to such an extent that on more than one occasion I had no idea even what time it was. Whilst you can take and pitch your own tent, as rusty campers we opted for the pre-pitched tent & equipment (there is also a very private and luxurious pod you can book) and found ourselves nestled in our own secluded area with a short walk to the compost loo and powerful hot shower complete with delicious eco-friendly toiletries. Angie and Sue have lovingly nurtured a space allowing nature to do what nature does best and that is evident at every turn. We watched the sun rise, we walked, we sat by the lake, we watched nature, picked blackberries and listened to birds, we cooked and ate outside, we got toasty next to the fire pit hoping for a glimpse of the resident owl over the field as we watched the sun set and we listened to the pitter patter of rain on our tent overnight. We were even able to meet the very characterful rescue sheep and goats who will never know just how lucky they are to live in such a special place. If you’re after absolute peace and reset, Brackenwood is highly recommended. Thank you Angie & Sue

What can I say, such a wonderful place, so peaceful and there is so much wildlife to be seen and heard. Angie and Sue went out of their way to make us feel at home too.
We 100% recommend staying at Brackenwood, we've just returned from 9 days camping in this magical place.
I certainly was not expecting to fall in love e with a place as much as i did and we will most definitely return. It's like a mini Knepp! (For those that know of Knepp will understand, for those that don't, you NEED to go ..................... and/or visit Brackenwood) 😊

Liked: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brackenwood. The "Hedgehog Hideaway" cabin has everything you'd need and is situated in a beautiful plot of land: honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. On top of this, the hosts Angie and Sue were wonderful. It's clear they take a lot of pride in what they do: both in the quality of the amenities on-site and in the amazing job they've done rewilding the land. We'll definitely be back if we're ever visting Devon again.

As an added bonus, Angie and Sue have a few pygmy goats which they let us feed, which was an unexpected highlight of our trip.
