We stayed for 2 nights and had a fantastic stay. Rosemary was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless and had everything we wanted, we had our own lounge area to use which had a fridge with cold water and milk in. Kirk the dog was lovely and always welcomed us with a wagging tail and a cuddle! Breakfasts were great - plenty of choice and great views of the garden whilst eating. Very quiet area, just a few minutes away from a pub for evening meals. We will definitely stay again when visiting the area - highly recommended.

Rosemary is a fabulous host. The room was absolutely mint, clean as a new pin and everything you could need. Really impressed with tea/ coffee supply as it was excellent quality. Breakfast was divine and plentiful...you won't need lunch!! It's so quiet and peaceful, comfortable bed, thick lush towels, high quality wash products and good furnishings. Really top b&b. Rosemary let's you do your own thing...not at all intrusive, just kind and hospitable. Smashing dog called Kirk will greet you...a very silly sausage indeed. Gorgeous views, walks, cycling nearby. Don't believe the hype from media, the area is no busier than normal and everyone we saw, even on beaches, took appropriate covid care. Felt very safe and welcome and made effort to see that the locals felt safe from us too.

From the moment I booked accommodation at Higher Soldon, the owners could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful, even to the point of giving us a lift to and from the local pub where we were attending a wake when we couldn’t find a taxi available. The accommodation was impeccable - clean and tidy - beautiful crisp clean linen and towels and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. At breakfast time, we were offered anything we wanted so took full advantage of the full English breakfast which was delicious! Thank you to our wonderful friendly hosts at Higher Soldon. You really made a slightly sad 24 hours for us really very much better. I can not recommend this Bed and Breakfast highly enough. 😁

Cannot recommend this B&B enough! 6 stars!
I don't normally stay in B&B's as I usually book hotels but this place exceeded my expectations. Rooms are exceptionally clean and very well appointed. Lovely fresh white bed linen and towels, which I love.
Husband and wife hosts were wonderfully friendly and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable.
And not forgetting to mention that this place is also situated in one of the most beautiful spots in Devonshire!
I will be back!

Faultless B&B with a lovely hosts. Went above and beyond to make us feel welcome from original booking right up until we left. Our room was excellent and the breakfast was perfect. Thoroughly recommended. 👍👍

Situated in a quiet part of the country side but only 5 mins away from locally pub and restaurant.||We had a twin room with a lovely view over the countryside with our own bathroom with special toiletries.||We had quality bedding and white fluffy bath sheets and dressing gowns.||Rosemary was the perfect host,friendly and welcoming when we arrived.||We had our breakfast in the dining living room looking out onto the garden.The breakfast was of high quality ingredients,we had orange juice and fresh strawberries,raspberries and blueberries with yogurt to start with,there was cereals to choose from and lovely brown bread toasted with marmalade or jam.A cafeteria was lovely for us,there is also tea on offer.Just the kind of breakfast you need to start your day.Every where was spotless and clean.There is parking outside the front door.
