Lovely, unique place. So pleased we found it for our stay in York ( half and hours drive). Room was comfortable with everything we needed. Bed was huge and bathroom spotlessly clean with great complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was very generous and delicious. Can thoroughly recommend this place.

Nice comfortable bedroom with a good shower and separate bath.Dog friendly. We booked in for evening meal on Sundayveryit was very good! Garlic prawns on Sourdough and Crispy beef for starters .Followed by two roast dinners, one Pork the other Beef with Yorkshire pudding and a very good selection of veg. The service was great with a fantastic selection of seating inside and out!

In two words, very relaxed. A lovely calm and professional atmosphere which allows you to relax and enjoy time spent with friends and family. A good choice of different food styles that are sure to tempt all pallets and ages. Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend.

Great service and the food was excellent. Simple food done right is how our burger and pizza was this time around. Sides of chips and onion rings just complimented the mains to perfection. Really, really good food and the beer and gin weren't bad either! You get what you pay for and we could not have been happier. Still, highly recommended.

The food was fantastic. We all had pizzas and one was a gluten free base. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Incredibly dog friendly. The outside seating area is luxurious with wicker arm chairs covered in faux sheepskin and cushions; bunting galore and creative/abstract and fun decoration. Definitely will visit again.

Came in for my Birthday Lunch.
The food was divine, and the pub was fantastic. Staff were all very helpful, a brilliant selection of both food and drinks, very accommodating. Would recommend this fantastic pub/restaurant to anyone. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the rooms, but I would strongly encourage anyone to atay/eat here.

This hotel is amazing! I highly recommend it. Great staff and great location. We stayed two nights and I had forgotten my earrings. Fortunately Joseph a member of staff found them and kindly shipped them over to London! I am very grateful! I would definitely come back to the Grantham arms.

Deeeeeelightful|Gordon Ramsey,Rick Stein and Ken Hom are clearly held captive in the kitchen of this most delightful country pub.The food will knock your socks off and the girls who serve it all went to “Institut Villa Pierrefeu”.|Stunning girls whose attention to their guests was only surpassed by their ability to be ghost like when not required.This was indeed a lesson in what great management can achieve when one has great managers.Good pubs don’t fail.If your running one that’s about to,spend an afternoon in here.It ticks every box on civility ,cleanliness and charm.An abject lesson in how to run a country pub.Exceptional ?

What a great little break away. The room was delightful, the food was good, the staff were wonderful. The decor and the atmosphere just capture you and makes the stay here very pleasant. Loved the outside eating area.
