What a wonderful place to stay. We were visiting the area for a 50th birthday party in the pub next door, great pub.||We were made so welcome, the room and building are stunning, very well decorated with a everything you need. Very comfy big bed, lovely bathroom with all you need. We particularly like having fresh milk available in a fridge in the dining room instead the little cartons. Jackie made us feel totally at home. Breakfast was excellent, thanks Fran, veggie options nothing was a problem. Thank you so much for a great stay.

This place is a great find 🙂 perfect location and the host was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough. |The room was lovely with everything needed. Very homely, great for a stay on a business trip or a relaxing time away. |The breakfast is cooked to order, fresh and tasty. Overall a great stay would highly recommend, and very reasonable priced! There is a pub down road which does great food and the atmosphere is brilliant, a very country feel to it.

We booked this bed and breakfast for a single night's stay. It is in a quiet village about 15 mins drive from Cambridge - though the current A14 roadworks can make this a little more unpredictable. The welcome was warm and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The room we had was of a reasonable size, double bed, tea and coffee, biscuits, sweets, TV. En-suite. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is directly on the road, but the road is not particularly busy and we did not find it noisy. We parked on the road, but there is parking available in the pub car park a few doors down - owned by the same family. The breakfast was excellent. A very good stay.

Lovely guest house, immaculate throughout, elegantly decorated with lots of nice little touches, great choice of breakfast . Booked last minute as our hotel let us down and wasn't disappointed! The lady who runs it is lovely, very friendly and welcoming,. Also there's a nice pub 2 doors away... glad we didn't have our other booking! Would definitely recommend and go back!

Stayed here overnight with my husband. The lady that runs the bed and breakfast wasn't there as she had had an operation so it was being run short-term by the owner's daughter who did a wonderful job. The rooms were clean, white sheets and towels, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was very good, loads of it and hot, pre ordered the night before, saying what time you want breakfast and it is cooked to order. Breakfast room was very bright and fresh looking. We parked outside which was great and we didn't have a problem getting in and out of the car. There is parking just down the road. Very welcoming and would recommend.

We booked to stay at the gallows for a last minute trip and I think we stumbled on a real gem! The landlady was warm and welcoming and the 300 year old house was beautiful. We stayed in room 3,facing the high street and despite having the windows wide open all night,we slept peacefully in the huge super king sized marshmallow of a bed! Honestly it was the most amazing bed I've ever slept in,it literally hugged us to sleep! The room was perfect for us,as bikers,we usually find our selves tripping over helmets, jackets and boots in hotel rooms, but this had a walk in closet with hangers and shelves for all our gear, such a refreshing change! We popped into the 2 local pubs on the Saturday night and found the locals to be warm and friendly and when they found out where we were staying, several told us of the fantastic breakfast we'd be having in the morning! And it didn't disappoint. We had a lovely full English and there was also fruit juices, cereals, yoghurt and fruit on offer along with the tea, coffee and toast. So all in all,we had a delightful stay and will definitely be visiting again.

My wife and I stayed here for my work visit the last week in January. The accommodations were great and the location perfect. Meals were excellent in the morning and the pub (The Duchess) was just a short walk from the Chalice and excellent as well. Both Fran and Jackie was extremely friendly and very accommodating to my wife who had to stay behind while i was at work. They gave her great information on where to go and what to see. Next trip out for work.. I know where I am staying!

Perfect little B&B with a great atmosphere, beautiful rooms & bathrooms and spot on breakfast. Jackie was really accommodating and her daughter's pub 2 doors down is the perfect place to relax after a busy day with a great selection of beers. Kitchen wasn't open when we were there (to be opened in the next week or so) but they were more than happy for us to pick up fish & chips from around the corner and eat in the courtyard. If we are ever in the area again for meetings we will certainly stay again!
