Quite potentially the worst branch on the planet. All diversity hires and predictably rude, obtuse staff.

To make it worse they just permenantly closed 1 cashier so down to just 2. They really don't want you using cash.

It would have been nice to update the ā€œopening timesā€ on google maps when the branch decided to close early, some people come from far away. Unfortunately the same thing happened a few times with the branch on Walworth Rd.

Bad management of customer service.

1 person at counter with a queue of 15 customers.

1 person at enquiry desk with a queue of 8 customers.

Staff going on their breaks.

Staff working well under the circumstances but unacceptable provision during a lunch time when customers will be visiting their bank during their break.

Waited 50 minutes with no ā€˜Thank you for waiting’

At this Santander branch the staff was always helpful and courteous until today. I visited the bank to deposit some cash. When I took the banknotes out to count them in front of the teller (which I was taught to do in the past so as to avoid any problems) he told me rather rudely to count my money in the corner somewhere and come to him only when I know how much I have. I said that I would rather stay at the counter, mentioning special measures when handling cash. I believe that I have a right to count my money at the counter and not at some corner, in full view of the people present at the bank. The teller told me that I was rude, that I was holding the queue etc. His telling me what to do took much, much longer than counting of the money would have. Among other things, he made a gesture at his temple, indicating that I must be crazy. A supervisor or manager then came out and he, too, informed me that I was being rude etc. I mentioned the gesture his employee made and this person just said: "Fair enough". This incident took several minutes (while my counting of the money would have taken several seconds). I should add that I always try to be friendly and courteous, I haven't raised my voice in at least a decade, as an interpreter for the police and the social services, am quite efficient in resolving conflicts between my clients. This was a very strange experience, indeed.

If you want to experience the worst possible service in banking, this is the place for you.

Poor knowledge, mishandled personal information, and a general lackluster approach to everything.

Had my appointment cancelled 3 times, had my documents sent by email apparently to never have been r received,Bhar contradictory information on phone Vs at this branch.

Avoid and bank elsewhere.

Hey it’s really disappointed when we go to the branch and have all machine available to use and because there’s one or more people infront of you and you need to still waiting in quill to go in and do what you need to do . So i think the manager should do it much easier maybe do two quill one for who going to cashier and other for who going to machine. Hope this change because most people doesn’t have all day to be waiting to do the things. Thanks and really hope it help u to do better for yours customer.

MARLON - Disgusting service from the ā€œmanagerā€ MARLON himself. Gave me attitude from the minute I got to him on the till. The joke is, I only came in to open an account for my daughter! It was booked on the telephone.

First, he got the hump about me not hearing him call over me over as next customer, and let someone else jump the queue?! He shouted I called you over! I had to ask ā€œWas it ok that I didn’t hear you?ā€ Out of order!

Unprofessionalism was shocking that has Santander employed him as a manager!

So told him I’m here for an appointment (like he got out of bed to argue today) no apology that it couldn’t be done. Just that the member of staff doesn’t work here! No resolution to help or nothing! I asked so as a customer, you couldn’t communicate this to let us know?! He said nothing he can do?!

Just left the banking industry and it’s shocking that another bank treats their customers so poorly. Seven years of banking, I would never talk or treat my customers like that.

You’ve wasted my day off on making a complaint: 1 about your extremely DISGUSTING service. 2. Regarding the invisible appointment that you as a manager couldn’t deal/help me with.

STAY AWAY FROM this branch and don’t try to book an appointment on the telephone, you might get MARLON and the advisor may not even work there!

The worst building society I've ever used, closes at the drop of a hat and they NEVER update the Google search to say it's closed, to save you a wasted journey...it's been closed yesterday and today and it's still advertised as open...I'm self employed and don't have much time to get into the bank and have had two wasted journey in two days...they don't even deserve a one star rating.
