Absolutely amazing!
My first time swimming outside (as an adult) I thought I wouldn't be able to do it, especially at the end of October but I surprised myself and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Though it felt hard to get in after the sauna haha!
The location is easy to get to and the cafe is amazing the ladies who work there were super nice and I'm still thinking about how delicious the food were!
We will definitely be back!!

Been twice for sauna and swimming - 17c water and 12c today.
An unusual, though every more popular experience, and very invigorating. Great value really.
The Lakeside sauna has a great view, and for groups it's good fun for those still in the sauna to see if they're friends have taken the plunge or not.

I've seen some people describe it as stunning, which is a little over the top. It is very pleasant though.
They seem to be doing some improvement works, which hopefully will make some facilities like the changing a bit better. It's hard to get dried and dressed "modestly" in a communal hutand though personally I don't care if they are unisex changing rooms or not, I imagine most women don't want to be changing in front of men. So, I go to the cold, concrete toilet block.
Also, with the rain the paths are a getting a bit sloppy. A contiguous paved path would be good.

Still, it's not a luxury spa, it's wild swimming. So, I guess it's a little bit part of the vibe.

This is by far the best Sauna experience in the UK nothing I've found anywhere else is even close! Direct access to the wild swimming lakes means it is as close to the real deal as I've seen anywhere outside Finland. My only complaint is the short 1 hour fixed time slots are really uncool, sauna should be relaxing not rushed like that. Further tip… more stones on the heater, ignore the manual and pile them high, feel free to send me a free pass when you save 50% on your firewood bill 🙂

Liked: Amazing place. Great massive and lovely field for quiet camping and room for kids to play and explore. The lakes are brill - both more tranquil adult ones, and kid friendly ( it still beautiful ) Q lake. Great cafe, fire pits, friendly staff. Kids loved it. Definitely return.

Disliked: Big trek to potable water, showers and wash basin. Appreciate new block is being added, but at least a closer tap would have been good.

Liked: Liked everything! What a wonderful place PBF is! I could have stayed a week….and certainly plan to do so next time. The field was very big and very quiet with ample toilet facilities that you were confident was not going to run out of toilet roll etc. Only a short walk to the beautiful lakes, changing huts, saunas, café, and everything else on offer. I frequently saw stuff around and they always spoke and answered all questions, and we’re happy to help. The whole place has such a family friendly vibe and is excellent value for money. I’ll definitely be going back more than once.

Disliked: The only thing to dislike is that I don’t live nearer so I could go more often!!

I was very nervous going into this as the car park seemed quite busy and I'm not a lover of water but the other half really wanted to go.

However getting on the site, it was amazing and super quiet. The lakes are so big that you don't have anyone else around you.

I'm not a fan of swimming in general but on our way out we booked tickets for the following day! Super relaxing and we feel amazing now!

Would highly recommend and we will be back again for sure!

STUNNING. Very beautiful and tranquil place. Good for relaxing but also good for a fun day out with the kids. I booked the sauna and went before for a swim and ended up staying for a few hours. Honestly the staff were amazing and really informative. The changing facilities are top drawer and what's best is they've thought of everything. What an absolute gem of a place. 10/10.

Liked: The meadow is huge so there was no noise from surrounding guests. The location with four swimming lakes walking distance from the meadow is amazing and we'd certainly return to swim again. We booked via Pitchup which was smooth and the price for camping includes swimming.

Disliked: No one asked us about our booking details or took names etc. There is a new toilet block being constructed so portaloos were available. These were in a very poor condition, with a nappy blocking one of them. The showers are quite far from the meadow and were not clean when we arrived at 6pm and the loos there had no toilet paper in.
