I’m a little late leaving this review as my treatment was on October 27, 2023.

Firstly Chakra Therapy rooms is such a beautiful place. I loved the fact you take your shoes off downstairs before entering into the relaxing space upstairs. The waiting room upstairs is also a relaxed calming space to get you ready for your treatment.

I had the most amazing pregnancy massage by Michelle. I cannot rate her highly enough! It was one of the best massages I’ve had.

The room was amazing/relaxing, fairy lights, candles and a beautiful aroma of lemon grass. I couldn’t have felt more relaxed. A pregnancy cushion was placed on the bed so that I wasn’t laying flat, which was very thoughtful.

I rate this place very highly. When I am next in York I will definitely have another treatment here.

Had a wonderful Swedish Massage today with Michelle. Came away feeling so calm and refreshed. Michelle made me feel really at ease and she put such a lot of care into the massage. Very calming surroundings but also very convenient. Especially loved taking my shoes off at the entrance. Made me feel like I was in for a treat before the massage even started! Can't recommend Michelle highly enough.

Had a fantastic 90 minute full body massage with Luke. It was wonderful from start to finish - a mix of light touch and deep tissue that left me so relaxed and calm. Highly recommended and thoroughly deserving of their 5 stars. The venue is lovely, clean and relaxing, smells nice with a great ambience. A true hidden gem and well worth paying them a visit.

I’ve had the most wonderful experience at the Chakra Therapy Rooms and one of the best massages in a very long time! I came in with a painful, tense back and neck but left completely relaxed and with no more pain. Michelle was absolutely fantastic, very attentive and professional. I’ve had a back massage combined with relaxing Indian head massage and it was pure heaven. I will be definitely coming back, but for now I can highly recommend the place and Michelle who managed to fix my tense shoulders and left me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Thank you Michelle! X

The most amazing pregnancy massage done by Kerry who took her time, put her love and energy into the massage and really looked after me. I didn’t feel rushed, she was so welcoming and caring, beautiful warm oil and the room smelled amazing. Just the right pressure aswell and overall I felt relaxed and comfortable. I will definitely be coming again!

I booked a half body Swedish massage and extended scalp with Luke, after waking up with a cricked neck. It was truly the best massage I’ve had, and really helped to loosen up some uncomfortable knots I’d had. Luke was very professional and friendly and I felt really comfortable and relaxed in the therapy room. I’ve booked in for my next massage already!

I had a 90 minute full body deep tissue massage with Luke, and he was welcoming and very friendly. However, the massage itself failed to loosen up certain body parts, and other areas were not treated, such as the biceps and forearms on both arms. Also, the shoulder stretching was applied with slightly too much force. Also, the room itself was too warm and lacked ventilation on a 20-degree day. For the slightly higher rate paid, it was slightly disappointing to the overall experience.

I had the honey + orange facial with the scalp massage add on today with Michelle. This description doesn’t even really explain the extent of this treatment though, it felt like a full body experience. My feet, calves, shoulders, scalp, face, neck, and upper chest were all pampered and left so relaxed. Blissful is the only word. It is probably under-priced for what it is. I wouldn’t skip out on the scalp massage if you have the time, it was euphoric! I felt so cared for and fresh and peaceful at the end. I’ll be back!
