Such a shame, beautiful building, and their website looks great, but in reality, it's not the same. The room was dirty, things broken, lights and light switches didn't work. We did sleep well, the bed was fine and the bathroom looked nice, it also had a working fridge but no shelves in it. Mirrors were all smeared with hand prints on it, and the heavy shower tap fell off while in use. Luckily, it didn't cause any damage to the floor or foot but could have caused injury, very unsafe. The rooms have obviously been modernised but they're not kept well. There was also no soaps at all in the bathroom or clean towels, the receptionist was very helpful and gave us what we needed but we wouldn't expect to have to ask for these things. The latch on the window was broken and didn't close properly. The bar and restaurant were non-existent, and we didn't dare go to the gym. Definitely not worth over the £100 we paid and we wouldn't return. Unfortunate as we wanted a little treat while in the area but didn't turn out that way.

Nothing like the photos, garden is unkept and closed off, looks like it hasn't been maintained all year. Restaurant and bar seem permanently closed and covered in dust, was informed that it was closed on the 1st July last week but it is covered in dust and found a comment online on Facebook that it was permanently closed over a year ago. lights are barely on and the whole place is in darkness, lift completely broken and unusable. Seems to be being used as permanent housing or social housing. It's sold as a 4 star hotel but its nowhere near that level, completely disappointed and a waste of money

How this is rated as a 4 star hotel is a mystery. The initial entrance is beautiful however the room we were provided with passable at best. Extremely dated, mattress was very worn and uncomfortable, half of the room had no furniture in it and how anyone of an average height is meant to put the shower head in the shower holder is a mystery! The pictures on booking.com show very different pictures to what we received. The lift was out of order all the time we were there. There was no food or drink on offer however we did know of this before we arrived. The room was clean however this is not 4* quality!! Nowhere to sit to get ready/hair/make up.

Nice little hotel with beautiful garden and seating area. However hotel need to be bit more transparent with the situation there atm as I totally understand it and commend them for doing it, however not making paying customers aware this is why bars aren’t open or breakfast / food services are not available will lead to complaints and making customers feel very uncomfortable.  But this does not take away from the staff there who were all extremely welcoming and doing the best with the cards they have been dealt.

Extreme disappointment with my recent stay here. I thought I had booked a 4-star accommodation, but the experience was far from what I would expect from such a rating.

The lift was out of order, has been for some time judging by the state of the sign. The corridors were full of young children wondering around alone in socks. The floors were covered in crisps and other debris. This place is clearly being used to house families temporarily. The kitchen and bar are permanently closed.

We booked a double room which was supposed to come with a hairdryer and ironing board, neither of which were in the room. The room itself was in poor condition, appearing outdated, basic, and unclean. There were stains on the walls, and upon moving the bed, to access plug sockets, discovered food debris and dust. Additionally, the lack of accessible plug sockets meant that the bedside lamps were purely decorative. There was no air conditioning and being on the third floor it was incredibly hot.

The bathroom facilities were equally problematic. The toilet required at least 4 attempts before it would flush. The main showerhead was non-functional, and the handheld showerhead leaked extremely hot water, making it impossible to adjust to a comfortable temperature. The hot water was extremely hot with no warning, posing a significant burn risk, especially for children. Furthermore, when I requested an extra bath towel, it took almost an hour to arrive and was surprisingly small, akin to a hand towel. The complimentary toiletries provided were also insufficient, barely enough for a single wash.

Given these issues, I strongly believe that this hotel does not meet 4-star standards and requires an immediate inspection and rebranding to accurately reflect the services and facilities offered.

Don't trust the photos on here, albeit, we paid 55 to spend the night and it's definitely in need of refurbishment. If it wasn't for the price, we would have been very disappointed. Very empty room, lift not working, room clean enough, mattress not very good but not bad enough to complain For one night. Don't quite understand how this is a four star hotel. Sorry management but you need to invest more

Hotel is nice and located next to the mall and a supermarket. Very good for the price. Unfortunately theres no AC and I turned the heating off, the temperature of the room was very hot. Not sure id stay here on a hot day. Other than that, very good water pressure, very helpful staff, lovely outdoor area. Next to everything you need.
