We arrived before 3pm and were offered to check in early for £15, which we declined. We were offered a very welcome cup of tea. Never had that before and a nice touch. The location is excellent for the airport and Luton hosputal,is a 5 minute walk away. The rooms were comfortable, if a little dated but spotlessly clean, as is the restaurant and toilets. Breakfast was a treat, with friendly professional staff and nicely cooked and presented food. Good coffee, selection of teas and juices. parking on site only£ 3.60 when ticket is validate. Well done to all staff, you're professionalism and attention to detail made the stay.

Have stayed numerous times while visiting family and always please with stay. This time was our anniversary and staff were lovely helping us to get a card and having Prosecco in room on our arrival. The boy in the reception was very friendly and helpful and Paty the chef, cooked a great breakfast. Compliments to all staff at breakfast and dinner, everything was just perfect|Definitely recommend

It's too far out of town to be considered in Luton Town centre. You need to drive 7 to 10 minutes or take the bus for 12 to 20 minutes from the station to get there. The rooms are small, hot, and compact. The rooms usually have a musty odour. The windows barely open, and there isn't any air conditioning. There is a fan, but the plug isn't next to the bed, so that's useless. There is usually one chair, no mats in the bathroom, and low water pressure in the shower. The elevator is usually broken. There is a gas station nearby where you can get cold drinks and meals. There is also a drinks kiosk in the hotel reception. Some of the staff are pleasant.

Misleading about distance from airport and the lift was out of order. Food and beverage had limited offerings with no tap beer and 1/2 the menu unavailable. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The shower was marginal. Security door to corridor also broken and slammed all night.

I found my room at Travelodge Luton very good value, although unfortunately it was a hot night when I stayed, and my room was very warm, and I found it difficult to get a good night’s sleep as a result. The room had been prepared with just a sheet on the bed and the window open, which was helpful, and I have to be honest and say that to be fair a fan was provided, however when I arrived late at night feeling tired I didn’t notice this, and didn’t try using it, which I’m sure would have helped somewhat! The hotel is pleasant, convenient and great value though, and I would certainly consider staying here again though, but perhaps not in quite such hot weather. The gentleman who checked me in was very helpful, friendly and welcoming, and my room was clean and pleasant.

Terrible hotel. Arrived in the evening at 7pm in a group of 13. We had to wait for the staff member who kept on going to the back. She gave some of us the wrong room numbers and we ended up trying to get into random rooms which disturbed other guests and was embarrassing. Some of the key cards didn't work to get onto our floor, so we had to change them. Again they didn't work but because the lift was broken, it was too much effort to constantly go down the stairs to reception and wait for someone to help. We had to ring each other to come to the end of the corridor to get to our rooms, which was made worse by the fact that our rooms were not together despite it being one booking. We had to change one of the rooms due to a strong sewage smell.

I booked this hotel because the website said the rooms had been newly decorated and had king size beds. This is a lie. It is a double bed and the decor is tired. 2 rooms had a problem with the shower having no hot water. There was no hand soap in any of the rooms and we asked the receptionist to refill them and she said okay but no one came to do it.

The bed was so uncomfortable, my neck and back were aching after the 1 hour sleep I managed to get. I was staying with my 79 year old disabled relative who didn't sleep all night due to how horrible and squeaky the bed was; she was in physical pain because of the bed impacting her arthritis. The lack of a working lift, which according to the staff has been 'broken' for some time, was unacceptable, especially for disabled guests and those with babies who were forced to climb stairs with luggage.

The rooms faced a busy main road as the hotel is just of the M1 motorway, which meant constant noise from traffic and sirens. As a light sleeper, it was unbearable, despite the window being closed.

We had to pay £3.30 for each of the 3 cars we bought to park for the night. The car park was confusing to get to because of the petrol forecourt at the front.

The Premier Inn down the road is much better and I regret not booking that hotel again. These were our 2 options because we needed late check out at 2pm. I thought I would give Travelodge a chance and was duped by the 'newly refurbished rooms', but never again. Thankfully we only stayed for 1 night.

Very cramped rooms, room had a small double bed - not the king sized advertised and wasn't very comfortable. Unbearably hot and noisy right on main road with a petrol station under room, if you attempt to open the window to cool the room down all you got is fumes and heavy traffic noise late into the night. Loo roll holder fixed to the wall next to loo so it hang over toilet it's that cramped in bathroom, very little water pressure. The room was clean which was at least something and both USB port next to bed worked. Very little parking which had to be paid for. We'd planned to go out for dinner but didn't want to risk not having a space when we returned. Wouldn't stay there again.

Terrible experience. Hotel lift is supposedly ‘broken’. Unhelpful staff are unwilling to help with luggage despite the fact we were a family with a newborn baby. Staff are nonexistent at the reception. Room temperature is awful (either extremely hot or extremely cold) - and temperature is not adjustable. Receptionist was rude and unhelpful when I rang to ask for something. No room cleaning during our 3 night stay. Beds are extremely uncomfortable… I struggled to sleep on most nights. Poor WiFi and TV quality.

The only saving grace is the hotel location as it’s just off the M1. However, for outside travellers, I would recommend you avoid this Travelodge and look for better alternatives for slightly more money. I’ve stayed in budget hotels before, but this was below standards.
