Went today for lunch with friends. Very pleasant interior a mix of old and new. Service was great, they were very busy but they still looked after us so well. Large portions , good variety of choices, enjoyable visit.

Only had main courses, but the food was very good and they don't skimp on the portions. Service was quick and friendly. Nice place.

The food was good, and the starters were large. Nice place to go after a walk in the countryside. Dogs are welcome. The outside is great when the weather is good.

Family get together, lovely gardens and food.
Bar woman at lunchtime Wednesday 14th May was rude, short and abrasive! Very nearly walked out!! Not someone I would have front of house.

We stopped here on our way back to Bristol after visiting Center Parcs Woburn - such a lovely traditional pub with great food and reasonably priced. I have a dairy allergy and I was really pleased the curry was dairy free and there were lots of options to choose from. A great range of drinks too both draught and bottled beers and a great choice of gins and wines. The staff (John and Louise) were so welcoming and accommodating. The kids menu has a great range too - would highly recommend it to anyone!

We had a lovely 3 nights stay. The room was basic and small, but the bed was comfortable, so we slept well. We ate here all 3 nights. The food is typical good pub food, but the portions are far too big. We can eat, but never finished our meals. The lady serving breakfast was amazing. She was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was good and again big portions. My only slight negative was that our room did not have a bin, so we had nowhere to put our rubbish. Although the bed was made each day, our rubbish, such as empty water bottles, were left on the windowsill the duration of our stay! Please either provide a bin or remove rubbish each day. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return as ideal for Whipsnade and Woburn zoos.
