Unique and quirky. Really beautiful location. I enjoyed sipping a glass of champagne on the terrace looking out toward the glittering sea. The staff are super nice. It is expensive, but perfect for a special treat.

If you walk down the road a little way and across the field you are at the beach. Lovely and peaceful 🌞

We booked Talland Bay after checking the location and reading some reviews. The hotel was ideally situated for a visit to my cousin. We booked in January as a special rate was available for June. The hotel was superb - beautiful location, spotless, roomy, excellent food and friendly staff who went out of their way to help. We had 2 spaniels in tow so being dog friendly was important. (Sausages at breakfast and some meat at dinner!) If you book DB&B there is a generous allowance for dinner. Each room has its own individual style and ours was no exception. Spotless, comfy and roomy bed, walk in shower. Could possibly benefit from a cooling fan as it got hot and humid even with the windows open. There was a late night porter on if you need to give your dog(s) a comfort break late in the evening. I mentioned some corridor lighting issues on a Sunday evening (I needed a head torch) which I am assured will be addressed and highly unusual. So apart from a couple of minor issues this was a FAB stay. I would highly recommend. Many people we spoke to were returning guests...which speaks for itself

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The meal we had in the restaurant was excellent and the staff once again were very friendly and professional. |Breakfast was excellent. |Would strongly recommend staying here. We only stayed for 1 night whilst doing the South West Coast path but we’ll definitely be back. Next time with our dog as I think it is the most dog friendly hotel I have ever stayed at. |All in all fantastic

This was our third visit to this wonderful hotel and we will definitely be back. The hotel is in a quiet location in between Looe and Polperro. The hospitality is first class and the staff exceptional.|We had a sea view room and had glorious views. We were able to make use of the seating in the garden as the weather was excellent. There are many wonderful pieces of quirky artwork/features in the hotel and garden.|Breakfast is of high quality and an excellent choice.|We also had dinner one night and again is exceptional - carefully curated local produce.|We highly recommend a trip to the Talland Bay.

Firstly can I mention the staff, you can have the most beautiful hotel in the world but without the correct staff it can loose its appeal|Talland Bay hotel has the most amazing staff, not only friendly but go out of their way to help you. Nothing was too much trouble, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, I’d definitely dine here in the evening if here again|The room (room 10) was so clean and I have to say the most comfortable pillows I’ve ever slept on in a hotel|The only negative was that the room was uncomfortably warm, the small fan was fine for keeping you cool whilst getting ready to go out but not adequate to cool the room to sleep. The other issue is I thought I had a ‘garden view’ more like a back yard view. Altogether though a really enjoyable stay

Beautiful setting, lovely food, fantastic service ... wonderful, highly recommend! It was a baking hot day but the service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a really relaxing afternoon enjoying afternoon tea with a sea view.

A warm welcome, professional staff, good food and drinks in interesting surroundings.|Stunning views from the picturesque gardens...a few too many quirky bits in the garden. Less is more! Heading away from interesting and tasteful to tacky territory in my opinion. Most of the place is delightful.

1 night stay with the taster menu, excellent staff, room was beautifully decorated, wonderful quirky decor throughout, food was very good. Gardens nice, the beach huts with lights and heating were a nice touch in the cooler evening. Would love to stay again.
