Spent there a great night right next to the South Downs way.
It got everything you need and more, hot shower, tee and coffee. The night was silent and really relaxing.

My husband and I stopped off here while walling the south downs way. Its just off the track so very convenient, and also a short walk to a nice pub. The set up is very basic, small field with a portaloo and hosepipe shower, however it has a lovely view and we spotted lots of red kites. Pauline is very nice and helpful.

I had a pleasant stay overnight as I walk the Way. Pauline was very helpful and hospitable. Although the campsite is very basic at present, it was enough for my needs as a solo hiker needing very little. Very pleased 🙂

A great location for the South Downs Way, with very nice views. Very friendly owners. The downside is the campsite does not receive much love and care - the shower is a cold water hose in an old roofless trailer and you need to go outside to turn it on and off. There is one tap/sink - for health and safety there should be a separate place to wash hands after going to the Portaloos. The grass was a bit long - at least some mown areas would be good to avoid wet feet. Maybe we would not mind if it cost less, but at £10 each, a typical rate I'm happy with, most campsites provide much better.

This is a straight-forward, wonderfully located campsite just off the South Downs Way convenient to Cocking, There is a large Belfast sink for washing and a portaloo, so the facilities are minimal, but entirely functional, which is more than compensated by the far reaching views and clear night skies. Pauline was very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend for those wanting an affordable, authentic camping experience.

This was the perfecting stopping point while we cycled the Southdown's. Pauline was so helpful and made our stay hassle free. There is a pub 1/2 a mile way that you can walk to off the road. We stayed in the cabin which can hold 4 people and has it's own separate bathroom and shower facility. It's well worth paying extra for the bacon and egg rolls we had for breakfast. Thank you again Pauline for a lovely nights stay.

I stayed in the shepherds hut while walking the South Downs Way. Pauline was extremely friendly and the perfect hostess, which included fixing a ploughmans supper and a sandwich for the next day's journey. As someone who lives in a US city, I also found that hearing the farm animals was extremely endearing and that the whole place was beautifully and extremely peaceful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a place to stay directly along the walk.

This could be brilliant. As it is, the grass is spiky and a bit of mowing to just create a pitch or two would be good. We turned up expecting a shower after a very hot and long day of walking to discover that all there is is an old Belfast sink and a washing up bowl...
