We had parked in the big car park right next door to the Needles Eye Cafe, it was £5.50 for four hours and easy to pay through the Ring Go app. It was a brisk (well it was a summer’s day in England…) and windy walk to Hurst Castle then a slightly slower trudge back but lifted by the thought of a warm cafe and a hot breakfast.

We were greeted well and offered a selection of tables and chose the big high table with a marvellous view of the Solent Approaches and The Needles several miles across the water. The drinks and food arrived promptly, my wife had scrambled eggs on toast and the Big Breakfast was a simple choice for me. Nice thick bacon and the eggs and sausage of great quality. I chose the fried bread option - I don’t want to live forever - and it was wonderful.

I can thoroughly recommend this eatery as a warm, welcoming place to come and spend an hour in conversation with great food and an ever changing backdrop. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Really lovely, lively cafe right on the sea front. Our table was a barrel with a shark in! We only had a drink and shared some chips (which were hot, crispy and perfect), but the food being taken to other tables looked amazing and smelled even better! Great value for money. We will go back.

Nice cafe which would have given a good view of the needles without the grey cloud cover.
The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was lovely. I do like getting a proper mug of tea. Bit odd to pay before having had food but maybe they’ve had issues in the past.
Right next to the car park so couldn’t resist - recommended.

Had spot of food and a drink after walking along the beach.
Daughter declared that was the best fried breakfast she had had, every thing cooked exactly as she liked it.
My breakfast bap was lovely, egg was perfect, little bit runny so it mixed with the bacon and sausages, but not so much as it was dripping all down your face.
Very polite, attentive staff, definitely going back

Overpriced. Ordered a ham and cheese sandwich expecting something on a nice bread. I was made to pay beforehand. That never happens in a sit down restaurant. I should have known something was very dubious. Bread came from a basic supermarket packet, one slice of ham and grated cheese, no butter. This sandwich was not worth £8! Staff know they are robbing you blind. I could tell by their faces. Probably pick on tourists to the area. I'm willing to bet that each person that gets stung never returns!

Was really pleased with our visit here. It was really busy when we visited but they still found us a table and the service was still really friendly. There was a great menu with lunches, dessert and cakes. I had the carrot cake and it was probably the best carrot cake I've had. There's great views out to see and over to the Isle of Wight.

We just stopped for coffee and cake, which was very nice. However, when seeing other people's food coming out of the kitchen, we have added this place to our return list for a meal. The food looked fantastic and great value for money.

Well worth a try if you are near by.
