Great friendly welcome from the chap on the reception.
Gave our daughter some nice colouring books to do which she loved.
Gym is decent with plenty of machines and free weights.
Spa is nice and my daughter had fun splashing round in the pool.
The only real letdown was the food. The fish and chips was inedible, tasted of oil and even the chips were tasteless and tasted like gone off oil.
Considering it was 19£ I’d have expected better.

We had a spa break overnight with breakfast with one treatment each .
First we were greeted with friendly reception , a lovely big room , separate bath and shower , room was super clean , nice view too and quiet .
Spa again greeted by friendly reception, treatment was amazing had back massage , a lovely relaxing room to chill in before and after , hot /cold drinks provided .
We used the pool not for long , knew it was family friendly , so was quite noisy but lots of children having a fab time .Steam and sauna used , disappointing no hot tub .
All I can say about pool and changing rooms definitely would benefit from an update and staff just to check changing rooms as were quite messy and let's the place down.
Food was amazing, again staff super friendly, good choice of dishes and drinks .
First visit here and definitely recommend.

Very large hotel with good parking. We arrived at 8.40 pm and were greeted by one of the best receptionists ever. We didn’t get his name. Restaurant was a bit haphazard and food average. Breakfast particularly average. Limited choice. Room was ok and a good size. Bathroom needs an upgrade. Very old taps etc and signs of mould in places. But we have stayed in three other hotels locally and all similar.

Four of us stayed for one night on 17/09/24. |Hotel was fine in some ways (nice aspect, gardens etc) but lacked terribly in other aspects. |Firstly there were insufficient disabled parking spaces near the entrance. There seemed to be a lack of staff to help with cases which required being lifted up and down stairs where rooms were not accessible by lifts ( we both have health issues). The bathroom looked nice but, was in severe need of a thorough cleaning. Breakfast was poor in terms of limited choice and variety. Definitely would not stay here again. It does not command the £180 per night price tag.

We had our Wedding here yesterday. We had the most amazing day! All the staff are wonderful and work so hard to get it right! We did have a bit of a disaster with our florist (absolutely not the hotels fault!) but Maria P and staff pulled out all the stops and enlisted an emergency florist and drove to pick it all up! They could not have done anymore to make our day amazing! Our rooms, and the venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, everyone had a fantastic day! The waiters and waitresses and bar staff were great, polite and a lot of fun when I dragged them up for a dance! They really care and work incredible hard and we can’t thank you enough! Thank you, you helped make memories that will last a lifetime ♥️ Mr & Mrs Sherwood xx

Booked in for a Spa day. Whilst the hotel seemed lovely, the spa area is very tired looking & needs a completely refurbishment. There was mould in the showers & the taps in the toilets need a good descale. The pool & sauna was nice, but apparently, the Jacuzzi has not worked for 5 years. Think MacDonald Botley Park Hotel need to invest in doing up their spa to give people a better experience.

Very happy with this hotel , the staff couldn't do any more for me and my partner, I have lactose intolerance and I couldn't have the bread so they got me some bread that I could have with my breakfast, the sausages and bacon was absolutely divine, they also got me some soya milk too as I couldn't have the milk that was provided, the place was well kept and clean , the hotel has a pool and sauna too and you can get massages. The bed was comfy the only thing that was a problem is it was two single beds put together and I kept falling through the crack. The grounds are beautiful too. Very happy and we would come back.

We attended a wedding here. The venue was quite cold, I needed to wear my coat.
Drinks are very expensive, £20 for a double gin and tonic. Food was very good and good service too.
