We booked for 1 night, used the spa facilities, had a treatment and an afternoon tea. The spa facilities are ok, a little tired in places but the staff on reception were very friendly. I've had a treatment here before and it didn't disappoint. The afternoon tea however was a let down, being one of the main reasons I chose this hotel, having had an afternoon tea last year, it has been scaled back quite considerably. Lat year it had the wow factor with the added chips and fish on a stick, and 2 scones each. This time there fish and chips were gone from the menu, 1 scone each and the quality was outstanding, such a shame as it was so different from anywhere else serving afternoon tea, now it's just the same as everywhere else. The hotel room was nice, clean and well equipped, although it would have been nice to have a coffee pod machine as it was their 'superior' room. It was quite odd having the bath and shower behind the bed! As other guests have commented the balcony needed a good overhaul, even a sweep would have helped. We were near the far end from reception and it was a bit of a hike to the room, lots of noise and banging around from the guests above, but generally the hotel was quiet and staff were helpful. Breakfast was good, there was a decent choice of both cooked and continental options. Our room cost us £222 for the night including breakfast which I think is overpriced for the product so wouldn't stay again.

A relaxing hotel which has thought of all the added touches. We stayed for an anniversary and the hotel added lovely touches to our room. The room itself was clean and had a lovely view onto the green, the bed was by far the comfiest from a hotel we’ve ever stayed in. |Breakfast at the hotel was reasonably priced for a continental buffet and order hot menus with plenty of selection, lots of pastries and muffins! |The grounds itself were lovely to walk around, we made full use of the spa even after checking out. The spa was relaxing and better than most hotel spas. |A perfectly secluded feeling location yet equally very close to get to anything.

We stayed here for one night as we were going to see Gary Barlow at the Eden Project. The hotel is 10-15 minutes away so really convenient but what a fab friendly hotel this is. All the stay were extremely friendly - shout out to Emma and Alfie. We arrived a bit early to check in but Emma sorted our bags and pointed out the restaurant/ bar area. She also organised our taxi for the evening - nothing was too much trouble. The gardens are lovely with a range of games to play - we enjoyed the croquet. We were spoilt by the lovely weather too and enjoyed a bottle of champagne and charcuterie board. We then had some massages and enjoyed the pool and spa facilities - all fantastic and the spa had a really reasonable priced range of products. Super friendly and great hotel! Thank you

Despite advising the Hotel, more than once before arrival, of my and my wife’s mobility issues and confirming we had a blue badge, we were given a room the furtherest distance possible from reception. We were told that we were on the second floor. We were shown to the lift and pressed floor 2. |When we came out of the lift the room numbers were all beginning with number 1.|We eventually discovered that we had to walk along a rising walkway, about 90 steps my wife’s step counter, climb 2 flights of stairs and then walk a further 200 steps to our room.|The room itself looked fine. We had a balcony that looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for some time and where the hand rails were covered in mould. The room was described as having” wonderful views over the grounds, when, in fact the view was of a building site.|Telling the staff of our woes produced no reaction.|The menu was unexciting, the food itself was reasonable, although quite expensive, as were the drinks.|The hot buffet breakfast on the first morning was, simply, awful. It appeared to have been there for a very long time. We asked for poached eggs which were delivered after we had attempted to eat the other elements. We didn’t realise that the eggs would come just on a plate by themselves and that we had to make our own toast.|We left more than half our breakfast, which raised no comment from the staff. The next day was better as they said they were cooking to order as they were so quiet. Thank goodness for that.|Our stay was only enhanced in any way by the young male staff in the bar, who not only provided good banter but excellent service. But for them our review score would have been lower.|Not an experience we will repeat. Very poor value for money.

I had a lovely surprise from my daughter with a stay at The Cornwall Hotel and Spa. The room was huge and the grounds are beautiful. We had a great time in the spa, the pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi was much needed after a day out exploring. The two course meal and breakfast in the morning were excellent. Thanks for a great stay 😊

Ella the receptionist was very helpful, There was a mix up but she contacted the place plus rang a taxi service to get me to the right location but because of her exceptional service I decided to stay at the hotel and Spa. This woman had so much patience and made me feel reassured after I told her about the complications I faced. Ella is a credit to this hotel and this hotel is lucky to have her representing them. Thank you so much for your time and going above and beyond to help me. I appreciate it alot. If you are new to this place it is worth the stay when you receive the service I did.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Room was lovely. Why 3 Stars? We arrived at 2.50 and were defensively told check in wasn't until 3pm and that our room wasn't ready! On top of that, the lift wasn't working and wouldn't be for a few days. Stairs with our luggage was less than satisfactory.||Service was appalling, not through the staff but lack of. One gent was standing at the bar for an infinite time waiting for someone to appear and sat down until someone came. I complained to the bar man who was very apologetic and explained what was happening. ||No coffee in our room so had to go searching. Would definitely not stay again.
