We visited the Halfway House while staying in the area on 2 occasions and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The level of service was great, the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.||This was matched by the food, which again was excellent. The presentation was a feast, as the saying goes, you eat with your eyes and the view certainly doesn't disappoint.||Would quite happily visit again if we're in the area, would thoroughly recommend, never judge a book by it's cover as you need to enter to sample the delights.

Lovely staff really welcoming and couldn't be any better with our 20 month old toddler of terror. They even brought his food out first so he could start cooling it without us asking! Lovely place

Excellent Mothers day 3 course meals for £28. We had Fucciacie bread, brie, with a side of prawns for £8. Beef, Pork roasts, followed with brownies and ice cream. Service was steady, staff friendly and polite. My only moan, roast potatoes were hard, but highly recommend, food was of a high standard.

We came and stayed here for a night this weekend. Staff and really friendly, room was great and the food was amazing. Breakfast was also included and again was amazing. The chef is quality. 100yrds away from the sea. Definitely will use again. Thanks for having us.

We had a fantastic meal at the Half Way house. Much better value than other higher rated pubs in the area. People in the bar beforehand were real friendly as well.

I stopped at the Halfway House for Sunday lunch, and I was not disappointed! The calamari was melt in the mouth, the roast pork was sumptuous, and the pud delicious! All for £27 and it was well worth it. I shall most definitely go again. The atmosphere was welcoming and most friendly!

This is a nice small pub with welcoming, friendly staff. We popped in for an early evening meal, we were asked if we would prefer to sit in the bar as it would be quieter. Having a hearing impairment, this was very thoughtful and much appreciated. The staff were really attentive and fun, our food arrived in reasonable time, we weren't in any hurry. Unfortunately, the standard of the food did let the place down. My cheese and bacon burger was cremated to the degree that is was burnt solid on the outside (I'm sure burger's are not meant to be crunchy!) a shame, as it looked home made so should have tasted good. My wife had a chicken a leek pie served with vegetables. It was a good size portion but, didn't taste great. They advertise special 'pie' evenings, so you might expect maybe homemade or at least advertising locally made. A nice place to pop in for a drink, maybe we just had an off day with the food?

We stopped off here on the off chance of a drink and snack being after 2pm. Very cosy feel to this lovely pub. Landlady was very welcoming as were the customers at the bar. Kitchen was just closing but very happy to cook our snack. |8oz Steak medium rare sandwich and fries which was delicious. My better half had fully loaded fries and totally enjoyed. |This lovely pub has a bar area and a restaurant area and outside garden. |We need to go back as we wish to try there pies. So nice to chat to the owners a very welcoming local pub. Keep the good work up.
