My wife and I had Sunday lunch, I had pork and my wife had lamb. The meat portions are ample however the vegetable portions aren't more than a tablespoon of each, which didn't give a 'balanced' meal. The Yorkshire puddings were also a little overdone too, they weren't golden coloured, more chocolate coloured! The pudding we both chose was the sticky toffee pudding and ice cream, these were very good but again a small scoop of ice-cream and the pudding was about the same size as the ice-cream. Finally I ordered an Americano coffee with hot milk, oddly it came as a cup, no saucer, a spoon and more hot milk than there was coffee?
All in the bill, including a beer and a glass of wine was ยฃ103 which for two pub Sunday lunches is expensive, but the scenery and location is where I suppose the additional cost is?

This is a gorgeous place - we stayed one night and had dinner, and really they just got everything right. A very warm welcome and excellent service throughout. The location is beautiful, and there are spacious and comfortable places to sit and have a drink inside and out. Our room was especially lovely with every detail both beautiful and functional. Lovely linen bedding, soothing coffee colours, good shower. Generous snacks and coffees etc available in the room, with more snacks and fresh milk provided nearby. Dinner was well-cooked and plentiful. I would just say the website doesn't give much away so we nearly didn't book it! Very glad we did as it exceeded our expections. We didn't stay for breakfast but I bet that was lovely too!

We dined here on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was buzzing which was lovely and looked to be fully booked.|My lamb was absolutely delicious and unlike many venues serving Sunday lunch, the portions were very generous. |The entire meal was mouth watering and sadly, not enough room for pudding!|Wheelchair space was provided and the staff, clearly run off their feet, friendly, efficient and totally organised.|The cost is probably a bit more than our local pub but the quality of the food is incomparable. Highly recommended.

Was taken to The Penny Bun as a treat by my sister and brother-in-law, who had been four times before, loved it, and wanted me to experience it. The interior and surrounding are lovely, but unfortunately I can't comment on the food, as we sat there - foodless - for over an hour after ordering. After checking with our waitress as to the whereabouts of our order - and not receiving any update - we eventually left. As my brother-in-law paid the drinks bill he was informed - by the unapologetic manager -that they were 'really busy' and that the kitchen was 'full' (whatever that means). Thing was, maybe only a fifth of the tables in the restaurant were occupied, so this was clearly nonsense. A thoroughly disappointing experience both for me, as a new customer, and for my sister and her husband as returning patrons.

Came here for dinner and some drinks and it was incredible. We were looked after by Elise who was great and the food and drinks were some of the best Iโ€™ve had in the area. A lot of local produce which is made even better when youโ€™re enjoying it overlooking some beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

The food is 5 star rating, the premises are clean. The staff are friendly and polite. The views are amazing. The food arrived within 17 to 38 minutes after ordering the three course meals that cost for 45 people with drinks and teas and coffees ยฃ879.87

Had Sunday lunch. We felt a bit rushed - we had to stop them taking our starter away before we'd finished - but it was a lovely day, and they were very busy. Some of us struggled with less than sharp knives and slightly rare beef. That all said the food was great, very tasty with huge portions. Sticky Toffee Pud was outstanding. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location with wonderful views. Would strongly recommend.

Visited 3 times now, twice for Sunday lunch and more recently on a Saturday to try the A La Carte menu. Delicious locally sourced produce expertly prepared and presented each time. The front of house team are also super friendly and professional, overall a great dining experience and I look forward to returning again.

Also love the sustainability ethos behind the Denton Reserve and everything youโ€™re doing. Keep up the good work!
