Wow. We had such a nice reception, the hostess was so friendly, so happy, and made us feel so welcomed. Not a thing was too much trouble. The smells in the restaurant were just mouth-watering, the anticipation of food was intense, and we hadn't even ordered yet!
When ordering I quired about olives in a dish ( because I'm fussy!) And the hostess actually bought me out a small sample to see if it was OK for me. When the dish came out it was absolutely exquisite 👌. Clearly a chef who knows what he is doing, the sharp pickles, and the richness of the goats cheese was just perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it, a really well put together starter.
Our mains were equally as well cooked, and a fantastic mix of flavours and textures. The additional veg was really yummy!
All in all we had a superb evening, the food was spot on and the owners clearly love their jobs!
We can't wait to come back.... my dodgy photos dont do the meals justice!

We tried various dishes. The scallop and chicken confit starter was interesting and tasty. The duck breast was cooked pink, very juicy and tender.

The staff was friendly and we had a nice chat with her.

Food wise, the mushroom soup for me was a nice surprise and I would like to learn how to make it.

Tabb's is a consistently excellent restaurant. Debbie always warmly welcomes diners and is attentive, friendly and very efficient. The restaurant provides a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Nigel is a brilliant chef, producing dishes of the highest quality every time.
Not only is it a wonderful place to eat, it is great value for money.

Visited on a Saturday night in October for a “special meal”. First customers into the restaurant. The waitress had a face like a slapped arse, the decor was like a scene from life on mars. Atmosphere non existant, music playing loudly in the background, could hardly hear each other speak.
The menu choice on the evening was a set 3 course meal or something from the a la cart menu.
We had already decided prior to visiting that we wouldn’t be having a sweet due to one of us being diabetic and the other with high cholesterol, so on a low fat diet.
So it was a choice off the a la cart menu. Unfortunately we didn’t fancy much on that menu, eventually deciding on the monkfish.
The fish was cooked perfectly but there was something smoked on the plate (covered in oil)? which ruined it for us.
Having decided to visit here after reading previous posts, we were disappointed with the meal and restaurant.

Surprisingly spacious inside with chic dark interior. Great food. I've attached a picture of a beef strogonoff which also came with sides of vegetables. Well worth it's 2 Rosettes.

Fantastic experience. We took the father in law and family for dinner. The food was outstanding, the service was just as good, dietary and allergy requirements were catered for without any issues whatsoever and the atmosphere was relaxed. A really great evening, thank you
