My boyfriend and I went to The Plume of Feathers for my birthday dinner and had such a lovely time. The place itself is gorgeous—really light, bright, and full of character.

The food was also amazing! Everything we ordered was full of flavour and so nicely presented. The garlic mushroom starter and the scotch egg starter are for sure a reason to return, they were sooo yum.

Our server, Wenna, was really lovely too —so friendly and attentive, and she really went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She handled a few tricky customers nearby with such patience too, which was really admirable.

What made the night extra special was the personal touch from the team—they gave me a handwritten birthday card and even brought out a brownie dessert with “Happy Birthday” written on it. It was such a thoughtful and considerate surprise which I was really grateful for.

All in all, it was a brilliant evening and I’d definitely recommend The Plume of Feathers to anyone looking for great food, lovely service, and a warm, welcoming vibe!

This place is a bit of a find. Located in a small village off the A30 just before Carland Cross it is a good base for getting aound Cornwall. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was well appointed and very clean. The bed was comfy and the rain shower good. A special word for the food here which was very good. The Full Plume breakfast was large and tasty and served in the bar area. Evening meals were in the conservatory, reasonably priced for this kind of establishment, well cooked and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back.

A lovely stop for a late travel meal service was very friendly albeit quite slow given it was a Monday night. We ordered a mixture of small place and main courses. The main took approximately 10 minutes after they small plates to come out which wasn’t too inconvenient but not ideal given we had a young child with us and we wanted to eat and get out in good time. Would definitely return and come back again.

Excellent stay at the plume of feathers. Direct booking was easy and the room (Number 10) was outstanding. The reception team and staff were superb, Leanne who looked after us at breakfast this morning was excellent. We would definitely return if we have the opportunity in the future. Meals in the restaurant were delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Stayed here for my daughter’s wedding and the room was comfy, a good size, high quality and clean. A desk and good WiFi was useful as I had to work a short while. The breakfast was excellent, everything I wanted out of a full English. Not the cheapest, but good value.

More recently I had and evening meal with friends. Just dropped in and got a nice table and we weren’t disturbed by others. Food was lovely albeit a tad small in my case. However, nice quality, tasty and filling. So not disappointed.

We have often eaten here before and had lovely food but on this occasion none of us enjoyed our meal. Two of us had a vegan option which was extremely spicy and served on board which is surely rather old fashioned nowadays. The other couple had different meals which they didn’t enjoy. We were seated in a small rather cramped room. However, the waitress service was truly excellent.

Lovely pub and very nice food. Portion size for the Sunday roast was on the small side but the food was all delicious. Bit pricey for what you get but it was all tasty. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
