We stayed one night basically to check it out for a potential longer stay. We were lucky with the weather which was a bonus and meant we could experience the best of our sea view from our room balcony. The room was great with comfy bed, good supply of teas and a coffee machine. Nice biscuits too. Bramley Products made the rainfall power shower extra nice with a robe to wrap up in afterwards! ||We had dinner in the restaurant and as we had booked DBB we had the limited dinner menu. This was adequate in terms of choice (although running out of heritage tomato salad ingredients seems a bit daft and limited the starter choices!) The food was nice with generous portions. My seafood linguine was in a lovely sauce and tasted good ...but there were some "twiggy" bits in it which couldnt be chewed ...maybe fresh herb stalks? I did feed this back to the waitress so hopefully that recipe can be reviewed? ||Staff were all friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed sitting on the bar terrace for a drink when we arrived. We are planning a longer visit but will book B&B and have the full menu at dinner (and possibly fish and chips on one night on the beach, from the perfectly placed chippy opposite the hotel!)

A lovely surprise! My friend and I booked separate rooms: mine the basic double facing High Street (a bit of street noise that fades in the night) and his facing the ocean (quieter). Our rooms were lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, and the little treats we received in our rooms were a nice touch. The decor was boutique-like and comfortable with modern, large bathrooms for the UK. This is a much better location (and price) than staying in Brighton if you like a more peaceful location with easy access to the city. The Coaster bus is right outside the hotel and an easy ride to/from Brighton and other locations. We ate breakfasts and one dinner in the restaurant, and all of it was high quality, tasty and with friendly wait staff. Would definitely stay again.

We visit this area each year to visit family and always book here. Was interested to see how it was after the refurb and we must say they have done an excellent job. Rooms were perfect for our needs. Staff are very friendly and chatty. Breakfast was great. We didn't eat in the restaurant during evening as had made other arrangements but the food that was coming out looked nice. Free parking which is great but you may struggle for a space on busier days through the school holidays. All in all a great upgrade and smashing hotel. Will be back as usual next year. Great base for Brighton as within the bus zone so get a 24hr ticket for two people for £11 and use the busses.

We recently stayed for two nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. Albeit that our room was up four flights of stairs, it was very comfortable with an excellent separate shower. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean functional & welcoming.|The one down side was, that the restaurant food menu was limited and quite rich tasting. Also despite being told that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant, two dogs had been sneaked in by their owners and no attempt was made to ask the owners to remove them. From a health and comfort point of view the no dogs policy should be upheld by the hotel management.|Apart from the dog scenario, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Recently stayed for one night but would absolutely return again||Great location||We enjoyed the Sunday roast and breakfast the following morning. The selection at breakfast was excellent and plentiful ||Staff were helpful and friendly. Nigel was very knowledgable and informative and a good ambassador for the hotel||Room 101 did overlook the car park and had no air conditioning but was otherwise well appointed ||We liked the decor and can see the investment that has been made||Clearly a popular place to visit for food and drink even if not staying the night ||We did find the acoustics in the bar/lounge meant to got very loud and noisy very quick

After being renovated this is our second visit. The bar has been beautifully decorated, very tasteful. The toilets are very nice and clean. We’ve only visited the bar not stayed in the hotel. After we got our drinks we chose somewhere to sit and on doing so had to clear the table of the previous customers glasses and crockery, not good. When I looked around other customers were having to clear their tables aswell. The bar at the time wasn’t very busy and staff were stood around chatting. To me this is really letting the place down. When customers leave CLEAR THE TABLES. I see I’m not the only reviewer that has mentioned this. Come on guys get your act together. Otherwise a lovely place.

A lovely hotel in a great location, right on the sea front in Rottingdean, close to Brighton.||We stayed for 2 nights, in 2 rooms. The hotel is clean and the décor is of a high standard. I would recommend a sea facing room, as the rooms at the rear of the hotel face a busy road, which was quite noisy.||Parking is available on site and is free to hotel residents, but is limited and on a first come first served basis.||The rooms were well equipped, wifi worked well and although there are no fridges fresh milk was available, delivered outside the room early in the morning. The beds were very comfortable.||The restaurant service was slow and a bit hit and miss. Evening meal was OK, nothing to write home about. Breakfast had a reasonable selection, with a cold buffet and hot drinks and food ordered from a server.

Another outstanding stay. Everything is just right- from the second you walk through the door until leaving. Every aspect of the hotel is beyond fault- genuinely can’t find fault. Sleep, comfort, staff and breakfast were all just as you would like it to be. Thank you for another perfect stay.
