I’ve heard so much about the Rowdey Cow, and it definitely lived up to the hype! They serve the best ice cream in Wiltshire, it was so good that I went back the very next day after arriving too late the first time.

Despite the queue for the generous portions, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially for families. The surrounding area offers a lovely farmyard setting for kids to enjoy, completely free of charge.

There aren’t many places like this that offer such a great experience without an entry fee. I highly recommend the Rowdey Cow for kids and families – it’s a must-visit!

What a fantastic place! It was easy to find, with a large car park that made arriving stress-free. The prices were very reasonable, and I was delighted to see plenty of healthy options available. The site is wonderfully accessible, with great facilities for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.

The spacious grounds are home to alpacas, geese, ducks, donkeys, cows and horses, making it a joy to explore. The lovely café had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly, helpful staff and a short wait time for service.

The setting is simply stunning—a peaceful rural valley surrounded by rolling hills, with red kites soaring overhead. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

This was a meeting point for us for a family get together and having on site parking made it convenient. The food was reasonable but the sun room was noisy. Service was ok but not great (we had to ask twice for the table to be cleaned and we almost went without paying because we were forgotten) although we did receive a warm welcome.

It was fun to look at the animals and walk around. It's close to Caen Locks which is worth a visit if you're already in the area.

Lovely cafe situated in great scenery. Dog friendly. Large outside seating space. Fast and friendly service. Great choice on menu for lunch and for breakfast. Good clear vegetarian options. Food was tasty. The milkshakes are next level so worth a try. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely venue for breakfast. We visited on bank holiday and had breakfast and their stunning sorbet made on site. They had vegan option on the menu, plant milk and vegan sorbet. They even brought over biscuits for the dog.
