Stayed here on a Sunday night as was seeing a concert at forest live. The concert was a washout but the hotel saved the day. Lovely room, could log in to Netflix and watch the cows walking past our window with a nice cuppa.
Breakfast was faultless, as was the service. Best black pudding I've ever had

My husband and I had a long weekend at The Bear and Rodborough Hotel and had a fantastic time. The staff were very attentive and we ate twice in the hotel. The food was excellent. Our waitress Carin was the best. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very funny, down to earth and was very helpful with ideas of places to visit. Carin made our dining experience even more enjoyable.|Would recommend a visit to this hotel for sure.

We went for a Bank Holiday Sunday Lunch. The restaurant was well spaced out, lovely atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was really good and plentiful. Some of the desserts eg the mille feuille were a bit over priced and not great value, but other than that, all perfect !

Fantastic place to visit, especially on a nice day. Garden is massive and so friendly, with an outdoor bar, plenty of seating and things to entertain the kids such as table tennis, table football and giant connect 4. Lots of seating inside too. Didn't try the food as we only stopped for a quick drink in the sun but will return after seeing the menu which looks good.

I went with my husband and our dog to celebrate my husband’s birthday and we had a lovely stay. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly to us and our dog! I loved the hotel too, it’s a historic building which has been kept in an exceptional condition with a lot of character. I would definitely recommend it.

This is an absolutely amazing hotel. Set in lush green grounds with cows roaming free, this hotel has wonderful charm. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the hotel itself is beautifully furnished and immaculately clean, the food is excellent and the staff and service are absolutely brilliant and go above and beyond to ensure you have a most enjoyable stay. We only stayed one night at the end of our honeymoon but we will definitely be returning 😀👍

Perfect Bolthole. This was my 1st time away as a solo since losing my wife at the start fo the year. On arrival, was put in Room31 - 3rd floor, with no lift. The stairs were well worth it. Wonderful views and quiet. Stayed in June with glorious weather, helped by fact that room faced north over common, so heat wasn't a factor. Only very slight whinge is that bed is very firm. If staying again, would ask for this room, though. Food and service also excellent - slighly expensive, but worth it. Wish I'd booked more than 3 days.....

Beautiful hotel - easy to lose your way around! Food was fantastic and the staff are brilliant. The only issues we had were:
1. The staff forgot to charge us for our evening meal the night before we left... we went back and paid even though one staff member was adamant we had nothing to pay. I know some people wouldn't consider this a problem!
2. The TV in our room didn't work and the bin wasn't empty when we went in.

Other than that, I would definitely go back and would recommend it to others! Stunning location.
