Liked: Loved the pod. The attention to detail was next level. Clean and had everything we needed. Really good park as well. Ideal and quiet. The park and pond were a hit for our 4 yr old. We used it as a base to travel across to little langdale and great langdale. Ideal with the rain to keep dry.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Good sized pitches which were fully serviced, definitely need strong screw in type pegs as ground is very hard. Nice and quiet and central for all areas in the lake district. Toilet and showers were clean and warm. Site itself is beautiful and well maintained.

Disliked: Showers were small and located in a weird place for touring area, only having 2 might prove difficult when all touring pitches are full

Liked: Brilliant location for visiting attractions around South Lakes. Pitch large enough for our twin wheeler and awning on gravel but limited grass area. Very very quiet and peaceful at night. Shower block spotless and modern, water hot, hairdryers provided. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Shop on site stocks essentials. Supermarkets 10 min drive to Ulverston. Pub 15 min walk down quiet country lane. Food vans visit once a week. You may walk your dogs in woods to rear of site through gate near static 5 Park View (up steep hill). Although this is a holiday park it does not feel like one. Would definitely recommend.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. Only wish would be for larger grass area around pitch but as mostly out in daytime this was not a great problem.

Liked: Clean, well spaced pitches. Facilities are brilliant. Bins and elson point is close by. God play area for children. Spa facilities are good especially the sauna.

Disliked: Could do with a sectioned off dog area. Different pricing for spa. £15 for 6 people is probably rarely used, more like 2 people use it at a time

Liked: Beautiful scenery, modern clean warm shower block. Friendly reception and pitch was flat and close to amenities. WiFi seemed reliable.
Great walks and a walkable pub.
Lovely duck pond and visiting ducks.

Disliked: The view from the touring pitches is limited, they are enclosed in a little enclave- it would have been nice to have a bit of the lovely scenery to see.

Liked: Warm welcome Great communication before and during the stay. Beautifully kept site with a glorious variety of bird life. Beautiful rural setting with great views, huge level pitches and a great little shop. Good shower block a pleasant stroll away ( in glorious weather) and building one closer to the tourer site.

Disliked: Wifi wobbly but what do you expect up there?

Liked: The lovely woodland environment. The friendly staff. Close to a few attractions. Motor museum and windermere Good facilities for motorhomes and caravans and very clean. Every time I used the shower and toilets they were being cleaned. We had a good Wi-Fi signal . Nice duck pond.

Disliked: Long walk to toilets and showers but staff said closer ones were being built which we witnessed work on .
Showers were hot but nowhere to put toiletries when using it apart from the floor.
High road humps but aware that these may be for safety as children zooming around on bikes .

I can’t begin to say how amazing this site is. Stunning setting, beautifully clean, highest quality shower block and spacious camping pitches (ours was a touring caravan booking). We are a family with one child and he loved the site and abundance of wildlife and the lovely play park. A special note should be made about the best small shop I’ve ever seen in my life. The site is also in a great spot for exploring the south lakes and beyond. Clearly highly recommended from the above!
