We were cycling the Bay and stopped for one night. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. It has a good atmosphere and the room was great value for money. Had a lovely evening meal and the owner was very attentive, made you feel really welcome. We both enjoyed our stay 😊

Excellent hotel right opposite Carnforth Train Station.|Beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast and wonderful attentive staff. Colin was my first contact when l originally phoned hotel. Colin was so professional, knowledgeable and kind. Excellent customer service, a fantastic impression given of hotel. The owners, Glen & Maggie are gems, looking after their guests with a kind friendly manner. Was a lovely stay in a lovely hotel with lovely staff. Thank you 🙏

I stayed with colleagues for work. We have stayed here before and it has always been good. I had room 23 which was spacious, well appointed and even had a small fridge with bottled water in it. A special treat was finding out my room had a small sun deck. The view over the rear courtyard isn't the greatest but it makes for a lovely place to enjoy an early cuppa while the sun comes up over the rooftops.|Breakfast was again top notch. I asked for two substitutions which were done cheerfully and all cooked perfectly to order.|Carnforth is close to the M6, and the hotel is 2 minutes walk from the Railway station where trains serve both the Cumbrian coast line and the line to Leeds. An excellent place to stay.|Photos show Room 23, the sun deck, and the breakfast room.

I had the pleasure of staying here on two separate occasions over the last few months and both stays were wonderful. |The good: the staff are really professional, friendly and welcoming. From the gentleman who greeted me at the desk to the really hospitable staff in the breakfast room. Special mention to Noel, the chef, for making a truly spectacular breakfast as well as the waitress Sue who really made us feel welcome. |The corner room we had overlooked the station and what a lovely view and cosy room. The room has a fridge. What a treat! Slept soundly. Lovely hot shower too.|I particularly like the refreshment station in the corridor outside the room with additional bottles of water, extra towels, toilet rolls and such. Saving the hassle of having to ask. |The restaurant in the adjacent pub is also a good place to stop in for a meal. The pork belly was one of the best I had and the waitress that served me was a real sweetheart. |There wasn't much bad. The internet didn't work great on my first stay in room 24, but that wasn't too much of an issue as I used my phone to hotspot. |I sure hope my business trips take me back to Carnforth again.

Colin went above and beyond on our night stay at the Royal Station Hotel. From making sure we arrived safely, finding us a parking space when we arrived and departed to making sure we had everything at breakfast time. He is an absolute credit and looked after us the whole time. |Breakfast was fantastic and my room was beautiful, loved my pillows. Thank you very much for a great stay.

Stayed for one night last week, wedding anniversary treat. Staff are friendly and helpful in all areas. Our room and the whole building are spotlessly clean. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good as was the freshly cooked breakfast the next morning.|If you like history the heritage centre in the railway station is worth a visit. |Even though the hotel is on a busy main road it is very quiet during the night.|We will be returning for a longer stay next time!|Thank you to all.|Steve and Denise.

One night stay in May 2025. Room comfy and clean and perfectly good. New menu was disappointing because of lack of vegetarian/vegan choices. I did not want veggie burger or chips so chef Ryan came to see me. What a wonderful and helpful young man who offered to cook whatever I would like him to make. I chose mushroom risotto and I can honestly say it was the best I have had. Thank you Ryan for your care, attention and great chef skills. I genuinely feel your mushroom risotto should be a staple on the menu even if on the Soecials menu daily. The management should rethink their menus vegetarian options as not all meat eaters want meat all the time. Please make the most of your chefs clear skills and enthusiasm. Thank you so much

Great place to stay when visiting Carnforth. Centrally located really close to the station. Car parking is either on street or £4 per day at the station. The room we had was decent, although the door didn't close properly and didn't close at all if it wasn't locked. The fridge was a pleasant surprise. The best bit about our stay was the breakfast and the service we received. Breakfast was excellent quality with a choice of cooked and continental. The continental selection was great......lovely fruit individually portioned up in little bowls, granola, dried fruit, yoghurt, cereal and fruit juice etc. Cooked breakfast was the same......excellent quality and well served. The staff here are really welcoming and attentive without going over the top. Really enjoyed our stay. Thanks
