Booked here when starting the Way of the Roses cycle route. They store cycles in one of their lockups behind the hotel. The room was fine, in fact very good for the price. Clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfasts are all cooked, no cereal or fruit salad. I opted for a full English and it was delicious. I did pay to add breakfast when I booked the room. This added £10 but you could buy any of the breakfasts on offer for less, and in some cases a lot less so I'd suggest not ordering this with the room. I had dinner at the hotel - Steak Frites and it was delicious.

Superb welcome from the very hard working staff on arrival. Bar area excellent and welcoming. First stay here for us. Excellent location on the prom. Bar price is very reasonable. We ate late lunch and it was superb. Rooms spotless clean, small and compact but well set out. Comfy bed as well. Would have been a 5 but the code lock is not easy to navigate or read late at night when you have had a few. But we worked with it. Breakfast was the best we have had in a long time anywhere. Looking forward to stopping again soon.

Call in to have breakfast on a glorious winter morning. The bar area was spotless and had an American diner vib. I had a full English and my wife had an omelette. We were very pleased with the food. My only minor criticism would be that the music was a little loud for my personal taste.

The fish platter is fabulous, there's a really lovely atmosphere and the bar is so well cared for and pretty. Would definitely recommend!

Came in on a busy bank Holiday, Jamie, Ellie & Stephen was very attentive & delivered effortless customer service, Chris was very attentive & took time to speak with the customer's, which felt like a good asset to the venue. The royal is a good place to visit for food & drinks.

It was my first time visiting this place, and I was impressed by how beautifully it’s set up. The warm welcome from the staff at the bar and it’s great that the place is dog friendly too!

I ordered the fish and chips, but unfortunately, the fish was burnt. We also tried the desserts, and while my apple pie was lovely, my son’s sticky toffee pudding was overcooked and didn’t taste as expected.

Overall, this is a lovely spot with a great atmosphere and friendly service. Just be mindful when choosing what to order. 😊

Just had an overnight stay here. Location is great, right on the seafront.
Inside the bar is bright and spacious, with a nice chilled atmosphere. Excellent selection of beers and drinks. And the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Food was exceptionally good. There is plenty of choice and all good quality. The breakfast was super quality and plenty of it.
Ours was room 2, right at the front overlooking the bay. Great size and a very good shower. Nice and clean. Upgrade the mattress and pillows, and it will then be a 5 star.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Our go to place if we're in morecambe again.

had a table for 13 at the royal this afternoon for my daughters 15th Birthday, I pre-ordered and all the food it came out absolutely lovely and all on time together. Bar staff were so polite and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble, no problem with me taking balloons and a cake and they got every food order and all extras spot on. They even made Ava a kids cocktail with a sparkler on made a right fuss of her it was brilliant! Really tricky to find somewhere where it’s good for teenagers as well as older family members right down to needing high chairs for babies but couldn’t fault a thing ☺️ xx
